Chapter 5

Nathan's POV

It's 11:00 pm. Niall is still here hanging with us. I just met him a while ago. He's a nice guy!

There's a time that I saw Via gazing at Niall and her emerald green eyes altering into silver. Then i remember about her transformation when it strikes midnight.

"Okay. Movie night is over. Time for bed" i whined. I saw the both of them pout.

"Okay. I had a great time! Can I come over again tomorrow?" Niall requested while marching to the door

"We had a great time too. Sure you can. Good night" i say. Via is standing beside me

"Good night. Good night Olivia" a grin was formed in his face and leave

I turn to Via who's currently smiling from ear to ear. Time to tease!

"Looks like someone has a crush" i stated to her in a teasing way. A shade of pink appear in her cheeks. I never saw her like this before.

The clock strikes 11:10 pm

"Via! We still have 50 minutes to fet ready. Wait a sec" i go to the attic and search for the chest.

I finally found it full of dust. That made me sneeze. "Achoo" i opened it

There's a medium length box saying "Nathan and Olivia" i removed the lid and revealed two astonishing ruby pendants with our initials in it.

There's a small paper with writings on it

To my dear son and daughter,

Wear this before my daughter, Olivia, turn 18 for protection. You will learn the other means of this pendant.

Protection? I obeyed what's said in the letter and gave Via her pendant. We waited beside the shore. Both of us are nervous. Since i was 8 i already knew about this. I was already a merchild that time. Me and mom keep this from Via. I was nervous for Via.

Olivia's POV

Nathan and I are currently here by the shore. My hands are sweaty. My heart flutters quickly. Is this really it? I never believe in mystical creatures such as mermaid and merman.

Niall, what about Niall? He'll probably hate me or even worst, loathe me. I don't like that to happen. A tear rolled from my eyes.

The sky grew darker and darker. Lightnings are striking. Thunder are booming. My heart is beating fast.

I felt something in my eyes... all i see is waves from the ocean

I felt my legs cold and freezing. My arms are showing of a touch of purple scales

I look down at my legs slowly revolved into a lavender fin...
