Alex's POV
I woke up earlier than my usual. We have morning practice for today's presentation. Besides, may di pa daw maperfect na step si Gail kaya magmemeet kami sa garden sa likod ng univ.
I took a bath and put my uniform on. Hinanda ko na rin yung mga dadalhin ko, like our costume for the presentation.
" Young lady, breakfast is ready " that's Irene, one of our maids here. She's also my friend and so called 'lilsis'.
Most of our staffs around the house are fairly young. Driver, butler, maids, chef's, secretaries, etc. No wonder sila nalang ang kilala ko. I treated them like family, cause I don't have one.
I tied my hair on a loose bun, and put some earings with no charm swinging. Yung parang bato lang.
" I'll be down in a bit Irene. Sina Mom? " I almost choke calling her.
" Please, young lady. Call your Mom properly " she said and smiled innocently.
" Sorry. But I'm not comfortable calling her one " I said in a calming breezy tone. She sigh and made a way for me.
I grab my bag at bumaba na ng dinning room. I saw our staffs busy preparing breakfast. Can you imagine? 16 dishes on the table but only one plate and one set of utensils? Ako lang naman ang kakain, pero parang pyesta ang handaan. Not bragging here but honestly, this is the everytime scenario around the house.
I sat on my chair and began taking some dishes and silently ate. I feel so lonely, pero sanay na'ko. I lived like this for 10 years from now, ever since my younger sister died. Tumigil na ang mundo naming pamilya. Wait, do you even call this family? Halos isang beses ko lang sila makita dito sa bahay. Nasaan sila? Nandito rin, sa bahay. Busy sa pagpapayaman. So busy that they forgot that they have another daughter. A tear betrayed me, umiiyak na pala ko. Damn.
" Y-young lady?--- A-alex, please wag kang umiyak " I heared Irene's worried voice.
Pinahid ko na yung mga luha ko at tinapos yung pagkain. Once I'm done I left the dinning room at dumiretso sa kwartong kinaroroonan nila. I knocked before I enter.
" I'll be heading out. Bye " isasarado ko na sana yung pinto pero tinawag ako ng nanay ko. Naaalala pa pala nila ko? Haha.
" Going to school? " she said plainly.
" Obviously " I said in a sarcastic tone.
" Alex! What's with that tone-- " pinutol ko na si Dad bago pa'ko masuka.
