Your parents told you that moving to Riverdale would mean good things for your family. Of course, you want what's best for your family but, that came with a cost. You had to leave your friends at home which meant you had to make new ones here.

You walked into Riverdale High with your head held high. Confidence is key. You loved to sing so, you hoped that they had a choir or something of that nature.

"Hi, I'm Betty, I'll be your tour guide for your first day." a small blonde girl said.

"Oh, hi, I'm Y/N." you responded, shaking her hand.

"Anything in particular you'd like to know about?" Betty asked.

"Uhm, yeah actually, is there any singing clubs?" you asked.

"Not really, I mean, there is Josie and her band but, they don't just take anyone." Betty answered.

"Where can I find them?" you asked.

"They're probably in the auditorium right now, here, I'll take you." Betty said, leading you to the auditorium.

Once you got there, Josie immediately shook her head.

"No, we are not looking for new members." she said sternly.

You nodded and walked out, accidentally bumping into a tall redhead.

"Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry." you say, your face red with embarrassment.

"No worries." he said, helping you up.

You smiled at him. He was quite cute.

"I'm Archie, Archie Andrews." he smiled.

"I'm Y/N." you responded.

"Hey, why were you with Josie? Is she looking for band members?" he asked hopefully.

"Uhm no, she shooed me out before I could even say one word." you responded with a smile.

"Aw, that's too bad, I'm pretty sure you're great." he said.

You blushed a bit, "Do you sing?" you asked.

"Oh yeah, and I play guitar." he answered.

You thought that guys that played guitar were super cute and you wanted to get to know this Archie kid.

"After school, wanna practice, me and you?" you asked hopefully.

He smiled and nodded. Then, the bell rang you both went your separate ways.

After school came quicker than you thought and soon you were with Archie again.

"I write, do you maybe wanna sing a duet I wrote?" he asked.

"Sure." You smiled and read the lyrics, they were really good.

He picked up his guitar and started to sing. You joined in. Your voices matched perfect together. It was like they were made for each other. Each one complimented the other.

"We have to do the talent show." Archie exclaimed as the song came to an end.

"Totally." you replied.

The talent show came sooner than expected. You grew closer with Archie over the past few weeks but, you were still just friends. Only friends. You wanted to be more than friends but, you were scared of rejection. What if he didn't like you in that way? You were terrified of the outcome.

You were backstage practicing for the show. You only had an hour before you and Archie had to perform. You thought everything was going to be okay but then, you lost it. You had a nervous breakdown. Tears streamed down your face and you couldn't breathe. What if you messed up in the middle of the song and the whole school saw? You were beyond terrified.

Archie saw you crying and ran over. He put his arm around you and lifted your chin so that you were looking at him. His beautiful brown eyes put you at ease. You buried your head into his chest. He held you tight, not saying a word until he knew you were okay. Then, when the last tear left your face, he kissed you softly. It was soft and gentle. You pulled away slowly and looked into his eyes.

"You're going to do amazing tonight." he said softly.

You smiled and nodded. How could this boy have such an affect on you.

He wiped the tears off of your face and held you until it was time for you two to perform.

This time, when you sang the duet, it was real. The words in the slow song reflected how you felt about the boy and how he felt about you. Especially the last three words, "I love you."
