Natsu's POV

I ran towards the Dad's friend, Sir Jiemma as I heard a voice badmouth him. I was about to charge at the drunkard, but instead I had to check on Sir Jiemma. His face had completely drained in colour and his eyes were as white as snow, with hints of inky-black swirling around. Only one person would cause this method of death.

"It was Shade." I explained, horrified. I felt my body shiver as my mouth opened to say something else, "Only Shade kills people in such ways."

"But Jiemma doesn't have business with anyone, why would Shade be hired to kill someone who he's not meant to kill?" Gray intervened.

"It's a she!" A voice cried out.
"No it's a he!" Another blurted out.

"SILENCE!" Sting boomed, pushing through the crowd to see Sir Jiemma, "Shade is a he."

Sting stared at Sir Jiemma, and then looked at me.

"Natsu, is Wendy~Chan around town?" He asked me. I sighed deeply.

"No, she's staying with Lucy for the next nights." I said, running a hand through my pink hair, "We need to catch Shade sooner or later, we can't tolerate these deaths anymore!"

"Your right." Rogue agreed, popping out of nowhere, and then turns to everyone crowding amongst our pearl walls "If any of you have suspicions of who they might be, please speak up."

All fell silent. Shade had never once in our history left a clue behind, apart from the blood-infested, metallic knives he forgets to take after his ceremony of death. He was just so inaudible, so lethal. To think that we would start looking for Shade soon sends shivers down my spine, and down to my toes, and back up my head which would start circling with fear. This devil was like none other. Shade is fundamentally a shadow, disguised in a moss of darkness. He hid like a star in the misty clouds above. If we were to successfully find him, the remainings of us would be loopholes of blood, and another metallic knife.

"I-is it um... L-L-Lady L-Lucy H-H-Heartfilia?" A kid from the front muttered. The crowds burst into laughter as everyone started to gaze at her, "s-sorry if that o-offended y-y-you L-L-Lord Natsu..."

I ran a hand through her hair and smiled.

"It's okay, kid." I smiled, "Even though she's not the Shade who steals lives, she's probably the Shade who steals all the food!"

The kid started to gustle into laughter along with everyone else.
