Sting's POV

I looked at the girl's face, it was as pale as a corpse. Maybe she was just astonished at the Royal premises? But for some reason, her scent was familiar. I felt as if I had smelt it before today, like it's a fresh one. I've seen it before today but that time was near today.

"S-sorry it's just I've never worked in maids' industries..." she stuttered. If I knew one thing about her, I knew she's different. She's a shy and silent type, she's not like all maids.

"It's okay. I guess it something new for you." I managed to smile, "It's hard moving away from your daily basis, and just have to suddenly make a change"

She nodded her head in approval, not smiling or giggling or anything. Something just seemed off about Itsumi. Silence filled the air, not just any silence. A really awkward silence.

"Let's get moving then." Rogue said, breaking the silence, "Natsu, please escort her too her room."

Y/N's POV

"Let's get moving then." the black haired boy said, snapping the gaze between me and the floor, "Natsu, please escort her too the room."

"On it." Natsu smiled, he beckoned me to follow him into the palace, so I did, "I realised you didn't get our names. I'm Natsu, the one with the black hair is Rogue, the one with dark blue hair is Gray, and the blondie is Sting"

I nodded in respect and carried on walking. He kept on looking at me from over his shoulder, sending confused looks.

"How come you don't talk much?" Natsu asked, stopping our walk.

"I just...don't, Lord Natsu." I muttered quietly, looking up at him.

"You can just call me Natsu, you know." he grinned, causing the other maids to gasp. What's so dramatic that Lord Natsu wants to have a laugh of somewhat, "Really though."

"I don't have such a right, Lord Natsu." I said flatly, looking at the chandelier, "none of us maids do."

"Apart from you." He said, sending me a genuine smile, "Okay?"

I looked back at Natsu and sighed.

"If that is what you wish, Natsu." I replied bluntly, looking straight down the marble, never-ending walls, "But I must say, won't others find that disrespectful to you?"

"They will know that I've ordered you to do so, trust me." he smiled brightly, opening the door to a room "here's your room."

I nodded my head, said my thank you, and dawdled into the room. I must say for a maid it is very distinctive. There was a silk, white king-size bed, and a huge unilluminated yet golden wardrobe. So much space for a deadly potato like me. Loads of frames dangled off the walls too. One of the princes altogether, and a couple of them by themselves.

"I can't believe Natsu would say that to you." A voice laughed. I turned around to see Sting, leaning against the doorway.

"Lord Sting." I said, bowing my head.

"Sting." He smiled. I raised an eyebrow and sighed.

"Your such a copycat, Sting. You basically idol your brother, Sting I bet you want to be him so bad. Lame~ " I blurted out, and then in realization I added, "I-I-I MEAN LORD STING! SORRY, PAY NO HEED TO THAT!"

Sting laughed at my mistake. I facepalmed and glared downwards.

"It's okay. Glad to see one of you maids' have guts to say things to peoples' faces." Sting smiled, "But don't make this mistake to Rogue or Gray though, they are the proper serious ones. You need to be like you were outside."

I nodded my head in approval and cleared my throat. Lucky for me, Sting and Natsu are the delicate, the ones I can fool easily. Not that they will suspect a person like Itsumi Nohara to be Shade.

"Hey, have you got any suspicions of who Shade is?" Sting asked. I thoughtfully tapped my chin. Oh, I wonder  who it is, "Itsumi, what's with the sarcasm in your thoughts?"

"YOU CAN READ MY MIND?!" That's just... I shouted, my voice echoing throughout the room. Sting walked up to me and placed a finger to my lips.

"No one knows about it yet, and I don't want my secret to come out. So if you tell anyone  you are dead. Oh yeah, to be honest all of us apart from Gray have this really strange thing which is apparently a gift or a talent of some sort where we have good sense in smell, but it seemed that I have one extra gift 'cause I'm just special."

I tried to hold in my laughter of the joke he just made. Then, for some reason, he started glaring daggers at me.

"I'm being serious. It's not a joke." Sting scowled. I nodded, hearing a cat sound in the distance. I ran past Sting, running to hug my exceed partner, Sybil.

"Sybil!" I smiled, hugging her, then placed my mouth near her ears, "The Sting guy can read minds, this is going to be hard. If he's near me, he can easily read so I won't be able to think out plan."

"I knew it. Don't worry. If my calculations are correct, if you eat a brownie, no talent such as that will affect you. The crumbs of the brownie attacks the source of the talent, and the sugar scares it off with it's white claws." Sybil explained, causing me to throw up in my mouth.

"B-Brownies?!" I stammered. I felt someone's eyes on my back, and I quickly spun around to see Gray.

"L-Lord Gray." I stuttered, getting back up and bowing with respect. He smiled at my sudden approach.

"I can see you are serious about this job. As for the other maids..." Gray said, pointing towards a group of maids, giggling and squealing like little girls, "GET BACK TO WORK!" He turned around back to me, "Would you be kind enough to some to the ball as a guest?"

"Who me?" I said, looking if there were any girls behind me. Gray nodded, and handed me a slip of paper.

"Your invitation to Rogue's engagement. Rogue weds Yukino." Gray smiled. I smiled and said my thank you, "for your dressing, meet Mirajane Strauss right at the top."

"T-T-T-Thank you!" I repeated, without noticing to smile all over. This isn't me. I don't smile, I don't laugh. What's Happening? Am I even a maid to these people?
