"Yaaaah!" The clashing sound of my iron sword against the bark, it broke a branch of the sarku tree otherwise known as the tree with the strongest bark made for a lionish echo reverberating for miles.

"I did it!" I jump with excitement from conquering the sarku tree

"Hey Rosette I'm leaving without you if you don't hurry up!"

"Hey wait. I'm coming I'm coming." I rush back to my best friend and partner Samuel.

"Now don't you forget your promise you owe me a cake from that new bakery I eyed at the new town today if I broke a branch off." I say while playfully poking his flustered cheek.

"I didn't forget Ro" (Ro.... He's always called me that since we were kids.)

We soon get back to town and it's as bustling as ever. There were merchants, bards, many entertainers there.

"There it is! Buy me a strawberry cake Sami!"

"OK OK Ro hold on." I wait outside the shop for Samuel to bring me a cake and while I'm there I notice some commotion down the way.

"Help! Stop! Thief!" (I gotta do something the cake can wait. I take out my sword a d stop the thief in his tracks.

"Please return the stolen items and maybe I'll let you off."

The thief conjures up a lightning spell which directly penetrates my chest knocking me back some ways rendering me unable to move. He nears closer and pulls out a dagger pointing it towards me. His hand raises and "Clash!" I open my sealed eyes and look up.
"Sami!" (He saved me again....)

With a smirk on his face he says
"Don't you dare touch my lady." I start blushing like crazy (H-his l-lady?!?).

The thief then points the dagger to him. "You want some too kid?" "Bring it on!" The two go at it and my eye's couldn't possibly hope to follow. The two kept going at it like sparks until the robber finally decided.

"Eh I don't need this treasure anyway it's not worth the effort."

And just like that he ditches the goods and runs off. Samuel returned the treasure back to it's rightful owner. And she gives us both 20 coin for helping her out. We thank her and leave.

Still blushing from what Samuel had said I ask him "D-did you mean what you said a-about me being your lady I mean." He answered

"Of course not! Who would want an annoying girl like you!" Angered I punch him in the ribs

"You jerk you even forgot my cake!" Just then he pulled out a small little box and said

"Eat up sweet Ro." And patted me on the head (I hate how he pushes my buttons so easily)

Being that we both are royal guards we report back to the king on how our training went then it was off to bed.

"Goodnight Ro."

"Goodnight.... Jerk" I smile at him as we go into our separate rooms.

I slowly slip into my deep sleep. "Rosette come here look what I found!" (It's a young Sami....) "I'm coming wait for me!"

"Wait be careful there's a cliff!" (I remember this....)

"Aaaah! Sami! Sami!"

"Hang on Ro I'm coming!" I grabbed his hand as hard as I could and he pulled me up to safety.

"Ro.... Your face....I'm so sorry"

"It's OK you saved me I love you!" (That was the first time I fell for him) "Haha I love you too Ro" (He didn't think I was serious at the time)

"Let's get you cleaned up"

"OK" we both go back to the orphanage to get me fixed up. I wake back up and head to my vanity as I touch the scar across my eye and I say to myself (I remember....)

The sun greets me with it's radiance as I wake up from my slumber. I get dressed in my armor and head out to get some breakfast

"Morning Ro"

"Oh hello Sami" we decide to get breakfast together and so we eat at a small tavern.

"Is something wrong? You're pretty quiet."

"Hmmm? Oh it's nothing." (My mind is still dazed from that memory) *REEEEEAAAAAHHH* *ROAR* startled I snap out of my fantasia to hear the kingdom's bell rung.

"We're under attack!' Samuel jumps up from the table and rushes towards the direction of the roar.

I hesitantly follow him. We meet up with several other knights and see they're fighting a lightning dragon. Samuel was already badly wounded but still persisted. (Stop save yourself....)

Hit after hit he got back up and charged at the dragon again and again. Tears start flooding down my face. (Stop....) I watch frozen in my stance just watching him risk his life (Stop....) He gets thrown into a pillar 20 feet away and he still musters up the strength to get back up and the dragon charges towards him

"STOP!" I raise my sword and attack the dragon head on

"Rosette no!" I hear my beloveds voice all the way to my core but it was too late *Snatch* *Gurgle* the sight and smell of my scarlet blood was all you could see on my.

The dragon's teeth seeped through my armor into my body. Then he tosses me to the side. Samuel rushes to my side and picks me up.

"Why Rosette why would you do this?"

"Because.... Because I love you Samuel ever since we were little. I love you" (I start feeling dizzy)

"Sami I'm so tired...."

"I know just hang in there we'll get you through this just like last time OK?" His warm tears melt upon meeting my face.

"I really wanted to be with you.... Sami.... I'm sorry...." The light from my eyes trickles and fades away as Samuel holds me to him and whispers in my ear

"I love you too...."

"Oh did your little girlfriend die? Ahahahahahaha everything's gone according to plan. (It was the thief from before....)
