Sophie awoke the next morning to a gentle rub on her back.
"How are you feeling Sophie?" Edaline asked with concern. "Are you ready to talk?". Sophie looked away, remembering everything that had happened the day before as Edaline conjured up a plate of custard bursts.
Sophie looked at them, "I'm not very hungry...". Edaline smiled, "It's okay". Sophie sighed. "I'll tell you... I saw Linh and Fitz kissing." Sophie felt tears sting her eyes and looked at her bed post to hide it. "And why is that a problem?" Edaline asked already knowing the answer. "I-I like him." Sophie muttered quietly. To Sophie's surprise Edaline wrapped her in a hug and they stayed like that for a while. "You know, your dad is really worried about you." Edaline noted.
"Can you tell him? Also, I don't really wan't to go to school today." Sophie practically whimpered. "I understand, Sophie. You can't hide those dark circles under your eyes!" Edaline giggled "Get some rest, honey". Sophie nodded and snuggled Ella as she buried herself under the covers. She heard her mom open the door. "I love you, Sophie". Sophie smiled
"I love you too"
