who will cry for the little boy who cannot speak?

i said, who will cry for the little boy who cannot speak?

he lays still because he's finally at ease

peace

because he finally received the innocence he pled to be

at 14 years old he burned in a chair

while his family was threatened to be lynched if they don't flee

happened in 1944 but i see no change has came to be

George Stinney

i'm sorry that they seen you as a threat

with your 90 pounds and your 5'2 frame

in a blink of an eye they accused you of slaughtering two young white women lives

on june 16th, 1944 you carried your bible with essence to your execution

they say through God all thing as possible

but to the system all things are possible through word of mouth

they held your life within their hands as if it was a toy

they were entertained and played until you pronounced dead

seated in a chair that was not even close to your size

so they made you use the last bit of faith you had left to aid you in this wrongful execution

the mask that was covering your sweet ebony face knocked over

exposing your eyes that were filled with tears and agony

the spit running from your mouth uttered your innocence

but still they had no mercy

after 2 more shocks you were gone ... dead .... deceased

just to find out 70 years later your innocence was pronounced exactly how to claimed it to be

innocent until proven guilty but they did not even give you that opportunity

George the little who did not grow to be the man he ought to be

now tell me who will cry for the little boy who can not speak?

will it be you or me?
