I finished the "Home Sweet Home" episode and saved it to my hard drive. Then I shut down my computer and lazily trudged downstairs only to see Evan smiling ear to ear.
"How come you never told me that Charlottesville had an annual carnival?" He asked
"Wait, how did you find out about that?" I asked.
I used to go to the Carnival all the time as a kid when my parents were still together... Now thinking about it, I think that's why I stopped going to the carnival. It was never fun with just one of them.
"That's all people have been talking about since I got here!" Evan smiled
"Oh. I haven't really noticed," I shrugged, walking past Evan into the kitchen and opening the fridge. When I closed it, I turned around to see Evan looking at me eagerly.
"Stop that. You're creeping me out," I said.
"Can we go to the Carnival tonight?" He asked shyly, "It sounds fun."
I opened my soda.
"I haven't gone to the carnival in forever..." I sighed. I didn't exactly want to go anyways. It was super depressing to go after my parents separated.
Evan did just technically ask me out on a date, though.
i might as well go.
