but i know it's going to be okay. everything always ends up to be okay. no matter how hard it may seem during the moment.
my thoughts were interrupted, once again, by the clacking of footsteps leading up to the door. the jiggling of keys, and my heart sinking.
"come on. come smoke a cigarette with me, listen to the rules, and everything will be okay." he said, with a soft, sincere voice.
i told you everything would be okay.
he slowly walked over to my handcuffs, unlocked them, and stepped back cautiously to let me rise up from the extremely uncomfortable bed.
Billie Joe slightly grasped my arm and began walking me to the patio, where he sat me down, lit a cigarette, and put it between my lips.
"i personally want to apologize for putting you in there. i didn't want to hold you captive. i only wanted to use you, just for a decoy for my drug businesses. i never intended for things to turn out this way."
his voice was shaken with despair, and his eyes would never meet mine.
i didn't know what to think. i couldn't think.
"it's okay." my voice cracked while i choked those two words out of my throat.
he took his gaze off of the ground, and finally brought his eyes up to mine.
i couldn't stop staring at those eyes.
they were beautiful, but they looked broken at the same time.
"please, forgive me."
