The City That Never Sleeps
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The City That Never Sleeps,
A city that's in to deep,
We all know what they're looking for,
It's a metaphor,
It's a metaphor,
Because they ignore,
They ignore because they can not see,
See the bumblebee,
That is slowly passing them by,
They can not see what is nearby,
Oh, look,
It is the crook
The crook that stole time itself,
From the wolf,
That wolf that is the City That Never Sleeps,
A city that weeps,
If case you haven't gotten my poem yet,
The poem is about the city that is in a net,
The city that is often known,
A city that is in the zone,
New York City,
Is the mighty city,
That never quite knows what is going on,
That is watching the afternoon,
Slowly drift away,
Along with the day,
And the time,
Which is a lifetime,
Where does it all go?
Oh, nobody does know,
That is because they do not pay attention,
As do the ocean,
That is swimming along,
Like a song,
And like a song,
It is going strong,
But still has not figured out,
The quote,
The quote that says,
Life is always
Passing by,
In the blink of an eye,
But baby you just never noticed
