"Ms. Swan," Principal Garrenburg scolds me, his voice angry and filled with nothing but aggravation. "I would say it's a pleasure to see you, but I'm afraid it's not."

I lean my back against the big black comfy chair, kicking my feet up onto his desk. "The pleasure is all mine, Mr. Garren. It's great to be seeing you again, for the fifth time this week." I sarcastically smile before he rushes to his feet and glares at me through his glasses.

"Get your feet off of my desk Ms. Swan," he orders, as I fold my arms across my chest. "Ms. Swan."

"Oh for fuck's sake," I quietly snap, placing my feet on the floor while rolling my eyes.

"Let's get serious now, Annabelle."

I glance back up to him, wondering why he called me by my first name for the first time. "Alright, why don't you do that?"

"I've had enough of this behaivor. You're suspended until further notice."

I raise my eyebrows before laughing under my breath. "Wow, that's so sweet of you!" I gasp, widely smiling as his face turns beat red. "Thank you, dude. So fucking much!"

He demands, "Get out."

"Fine," I let out, standing up and pushing back the chair. I pick up my bag, hanging it over my shoulder, before I face my back towards him making my way to the door.

"Whether or not you will be expelled, I will call your parents and be the one to let them know," he tries to threaten me as I frown at him.

"Be my guest."

I hang around outside my school until it's the end of the day, where my friends meet me and we all walk home together. Under a bridge is when something happens that scars me really bad, as I see a man crouched down on the ground, eating another guy's face. The flesh is torn off it most places, his nose has been biten off, and there's blood and human flesh all in the mans mouth. He's growling loudly as he's eating this man, who looks like he's dead, when my friend and I take off running down the street. I go into a state of shock and we see a few other people who do not look normal who happen to be groaning and growling viciously as we quicly run past them.

They both dart to their houses as I rush over to mine, noticing the door is already opened. I make my way inside gasping for my breath but I suddenly freeze in the living room when I see a group of people attacking my family. My mom, dad, and little brother are on the carpet withred dark blood splattered all around them. They're being eaten, right before my very eyes. They're skin that's visible is pale, and my brother's stomach is wide open with intestines exposed, as the creature digs his hand inside his carcus and I can no longer breathe.

The zombie looking creatures are hissing, growling, and groaning as they tear apart my family and allI can do is watch them in horror, until one turns around. Before I know it, I'm racing through my house and darting out the back door, as I see my friends screaming and running toward me, hopping the chain fence. We all take off and run as fast as we can through the woods behind my home, finally make our way to Mr. Fernings farm. The only thing far away from our street is the big barn he owns, so we all rush to it as fast as we can. Finally we get there and quickly step inside.

We slide the barn door closed, the walls around us vibrating from the force of all three of us working together. I quickly grab the hatch and yank it down, moving it across the wall and door, in an attempt to lock it. But I highly doubt this will actually do anything to keep them things away from us.

I lean my back against the wall beside the door, now facing my friends only to realize the fear and sadness plastered across their faces. Rolling my eyes, I can't help but wonder why none of this is even effecting me. My family was killed in front of me, right before my eyes, and yet here I am in this barn not even bothered one bit.

There's only one thing possible at this moment. "This has to be a dream," I let out in a soft mumble, turning around and banging my forehead off the wall, multiple times.  "It," Bang. "Has," Bang. "To," Another bang. "Be..."

"I hope we're dreaming," Chloe practically whispers under her breath.

"Well we're not," Louise huffs under her breath, as I turn back to them and shake my head.

"What the fuck are we going to do?" I ask them, the only one who doesn't look terrified and destroyed.

"Why are you not scared right now, Anna?"

I look over at Chloe and calmly shrug, before sliding down onto my butt with my back firmly resting against the wall. "I don't know," I barely let out, my voice raspy and hoarse. "Nazi Zombies on xbox 360, probably. Never actually thought it would turn into reality."

"You're such a dude," Louise snaps at me, crossing her arms and shooting her gaze to the ceiling.

"Better than being a girly girl like Chloe over here," I anxiously mutter as she glares at me.

"This is horrible, Annabelle. You're making this into some kind of joke! Well I hate to break it to you, but your whole family is dead! Just like ours! And they were murdered by flesh eating creatures that are taking over the entire fucking world!" She shouts at me in anger as I drop my gaze down to the floor, in defeat.

"Cloe," Louise rudely rushes out, standing up and pacing back in forth. "I really doubt being mean to each other is the best idea right now. We have to figure this out."

"Figure what out?" I let out, narrowing my eyes at them as they widen theirs. "There's nothing to figure out. We're going through an apocalypse. A zombie apocalypse."

The barn goes completely silent as I face the truth.

And I softly breathe out, "Guys, I think this might just be the end of the world."
