"I.. I feel like my parents don't love me.." Sarah said to the therapist. "They rarely pay attention to me."
"Tell me about them."
"God, what is there to say about them? My mom works two jobs so my dad can sit at home, drink beer and watch CNN. I swear he's addicted to some sort of drugs, I hate it there. That's why I'm always at Ryan's."
"Ryan, is he your boyfriend?" Sarah slightly smiled.
"No. I wish. He's my best friend, we have known each other since like, fifth grade. I feel bad for the guy, his mom died a long time ago, but he lives with his grandparents, who cook amazing food."
"Why do you say 'I wish', Sarah?"
"Because, he's awesome. He takes care of me, makes sure I'm okay everyday. But, to be completely honest, I think he's gay. He stares down guys at school, so, it's just him. But if he's not, that's okay, too." The therapist wrote a few things down.
"Has your parents ever hit you?"
"Never. They hit each other, though. Almost everyday."
"I think that's all for today. Thank you for chatting, Sarah." Sarah stood up and walked out to see Ryan sitting in the waiting room with a magazine in his hands.
"All done?" He asked, looking up from it.
"Yeah, hey, whay is your Grandma making for dinner?" She asked as they walked out.
"I think Pizza." Sarah smiled. "So, is this therapist helping? Like, is it a good thing?"
"No, I hate it. If anything, its making me feel uncomfortable. I'm still going to keep you off my back!" Ryan sighed.
"Sarah... Come on.. We both know if you keep on going, you'll get better!" Sarah stopped walking. "What?"
"Something's wrong.."
"What do you mean." Sarah turned around and started to run, with Ryan eight behind her. "SARAH?! WHAT THE FUCK??"
"I DON'T KNOW, OKAY??!" Sarah ran up the steps of her house, opening the door to see her mom bent over. "Mom?"
"S-Sarah! H-Hi!" The grip that Sarah's mom had on the railing tightened.
"What's happening?" She asked, grabbing her mom's other hand.
"I-I don't know.. Call 911.."

"Your mom had a heart attack. She'll be in here for a bit, we want to monitor her. For now, go home, get some rest, go to school, and come back to visit, okay?" Sarah nodded. She slowly walked out of the ER, pulling her phone out. It was 9:30 PM. And, she was scared. She didn't want to go home to her dad, she knows what he's capable of. She tried calling Ryan, but no answer. She decided to go back home, running into her bedroom. She locked her door, looking over to her bed. Sarah flopped onto the bed, not remembering falling asleep.
