The Funeral

It all started 15 years ago. I had it all, the money, the fame, and the girl. That girl, just so happens to be my now ex-wife, Nicki. When Nicki and I got married, we; I was, in love. So in love that I was blinded to the fact that she was cheating on me for 6 months. Yeah shocking right? Anyway, Nicki & I ended up having one of those 60 day, Chris Humphrey'/Kim Kardashian marriages. We got divorced, went our separate ways, and we haven't spoke since 1999. But yesterday, I got a call from Nicki's publicist Tonia

A loud ringing sound pierces Jason's ears. He wakes up only to realize it's his iPhone ringing and vibrating on his nightstand.

"Hello?" says a groggy Jason into the sleek device

"Hi Mr. Fuego, sorry to wake you, but I wanted to inform you Mrs. Valet, passed away this weekend and you've been invited to attend the funeral." says Tonia

"Who are the Valet's? I don't think I even-" says Jason

"The Valet's are the parents of your ex-wife Nicki Montoya." says Tonia

*The name Montoya is repeated in Jason's head a few times.*

"SHE CHANGED HER NAME BACK?!" Jason yells, waking up Julie in bed next to him.

"Jason, what the heck is going on?" asks Julie still half awake

"I'm on the phone with Nicki's assistant." says Jason

Julie flips back over sighs

"Okay, yes, I'll forward the info to my assistant. Okay, yes. Thank you. Bye." says Jason slamming the phone on the nightstand, and turning off his lamp. Only to be waken up again minutes later this by his own assistant Carson

"Hello?!" shouts Jason angrily

"Hey Jason. I'm on my way to your house, for the funeral." says Carson

"Great! *sarcasm* how close are you?" asks Jason

"Well... I may be running a little bit late, because I'm still in Calabasas and I need to get my coffee." says Carson

"When can you get here Carson?" asks Jason, walking into his bathroom

"9:00, maybe 9:30?" replies Carson.

"Stop at Starbuck's while you're out!" shouts Julie

I need a grande Caramel Frappuccino... (Julie walks into bathroom) "Oh and I need a large iced blueberry bliss from Teavana." interrupts Julie, putting her mascara on.

"Julie, what are you doing?" asks Fuego irritated with Julie's rudeness

"I'm ordering from Teavana, isn't he going to the one on Beverly Drive?" asks Julie

"No, he's still in Calabasas..." say's Jason

"So you want me to go to Teavana and Starbucks?" asks Carson confused with the entire situation

"Yes! No!" Jason and Julie say simultaneously

"I'm just gonna go to both, Look, I'm getting on the highway, I don't wanna get pulled over again." says Carson

"Okay bye. Be safe bud." says Jason, hanging up the phone and applying some whitening strips to his already pearly white teeth.

"You gotta stop interrupting me like that." Says Jason, looking longingly into Julie's eyes

Jason closes his eyes and goes in for a kiss, but is rejected by Julie's hand instead

"Why don't you make out with your suit. We get dressed." Julie giggles playfully hitting his chest while he holds her tightly
