***Olivia's P.O.V.***
I woke up in Jess's and My secret tree house. It was newly built so the wood wasn't bad. The floors were covered with rugs all sort of colors. And the walls were covered with scattered pictures of hot male actors. We had everything you would need. Almost anyways. Fridge, check. We just have to get ice for it every once in a while. Laptop, check. To keep us entertained for the time being. And a Blackboard, books, magazines, and other necessaries like bathroom supplies.
I shook Jess to wake her up. I watched as she stirred a little. I shook her some more. "Jess wake up." I shook her harder.
"What do you want?" She groaned loudly.
"We need to get ready. Just in case someone finds us in here we can go. The alarm on my house has already been set off, so I find no point in staying near danger."
"Someone just probably broke in. Maybe a teenage boy or something"
No shit. The alarm wouldn't go off by it self would it? No. "And I'm hungry. So go catch us some food."
She sat up rubbing her eyes and moaning. "Why don't you do it? I'm not even fully awake yet."
If she wasn't my best friend I would have punched the crap out of her.
I first met her at a strip club. Crazy place to meet your best friend. I was drunk and having the time of my life. Then this pretty young thing starts walking over to me and asking me questions. Hell, I forgot what though. We talked and drunk and watched some of the dancers get hit by our flying coins. She ended up giving me a ride home. My parents were furious at me.
Shortly after I found my own place and now I'm living life. Pretty sweet one too. We stayed tied to the hip ever since.
I sighed loudly, " OK baby, have it your way. You're not eating."
I got up and walked out of the tree. The grass was covered in fall leaves. And the air smelled like sweet honey combs. The trees were standing so tall and looked like they were touching the clouds. The lighting was great considering it was early in the morning. By the end of the day I ended up catching a squirrel, 2 deer, and a snake. Better than nothing.
I was almost there when I realized two wolves standing there looking in my direction. I slowed my pace dramatically and started tip-toe-ing. It made no sense since they already saw me.
One was gray with a black tail and orange stripe running down it back. The other was brown with an orange stripe running down its back. What's up with the stripe? That's not normal at all. Then it hit me. Of course it wouldn't be normal. Because they aren't regular wolves.
They seemed like they were closer from before. Gathering my attention back to the real world, I dropped everything but the squirrel and ran like my life depended on it. Literally, it did. My legs were pumping and my lung felt heavy in my chest. When I finally got to the tree house, I put the squirrel's tail in my mouth and jumped on the hanging rope. I climbed until I reached the top.
Jes was up and looked at me frightened. "What happened to you? You look horrible."
I spat the squirrel out of my mouth and took long deep breaths. "There were....."
