The Enchanting Dragon

Prologue

AN: This is kind of in a strange prospective, but it gives you an idea of who. This story is also on Quotev, written by me.

Kara is and her story up to this point.

"Darkness has fallen upon the land. The blood of dragons will revive once again, and the ancient pact will be kept. When the four dragons gathered, the sword and shield which will protect the kind shall awaken, and the Red Dragon shall restore the dawn at last." This is the prophecy of the dragons, the protectors of the kingdom, and servants to the king.

The prophecy only talks about four dragons, the white, blue, green, and yellow, yet there is actually a fifth dragon: the purple dragon. This dragon was forgotten in time; erased from history. It's not like she did anything wrong, she acted just as heroically as the others. It's just that her aura was completely enchanting, and that when you were in her presence you were under her spell, spell she couldn't control. This made it so that multiple powerful people fell for her, and they fell HARD.

Their feelings towards the girl weren't as innocent as kissing her on her cheek and holding her hand; it was way more extreme. Most of the time the people who had strong feelings for her thought things along the lines of, "I will have her all to myself," and, "I will protect her from all of the filth of the world." Yeah, that's not exactly all rainbows, fluff and puppies. Her pure and untainted beauty drew people to her, and made it so she was almost always in the middle of some type of conflict.

This girl, whose name is Kara, has beautiful lavender hair that catches people's eyes when she walks by. Her bone-straight, well taken care of hair ends about an inch above her elbow. She also has bright violet orbs that shine with hope and innocence; they can make anyone and everyone feel better when they look into them. An adorable heart shaped face, full bubblegum pink lips, tinted rose-colored cheeks and a small, soft curved nose; that's how you would sum up her looks.

So, as the blue dragon has his eyes, the green dragon has his legs, the white dragon has his arm, and the yellow dragon has his entire body, the purple dragon has her ears. If you compare her power to the other dragons, you could say her "gift" is similar to that of the blue and yellows dragons: it is used indirectly to fight. You can't exactly kick or scratch someone with your ears, so of course she can only fight with her ears indirectly. If you can directly hit somebody with your ears, then there is something seriously wrong with you. People call the dragons freaks but that would take it to a whole other level.

Kara has pointed ears, similar to those of an elf, and they have violet scales, that look similar to flower petals, crawling up it. The "gifts" that she was "blessed" with are super hearing, reading people's minds and being able to hear motions before they happen. No, she can't really tell the future per se; she can just tell if and where someone is trying punch, kick, ect..., because of the way the air vibrations react (which she can hear because of her super hearing).

It does happen to be a very useful skill and it helps a large amount with avoiding attacks and knowing who to trust, but then when it comes to actual fighting and trying to hit the enemy and it isn't nearly as helpful. She has had to spend years on end training, to make sure that she can strike her opponents down. Being able to dodge is a nice ability to have, but it's of no use on its own. How are you supposed to protect someone if all you can do is elude barrage and physical assaults?

Even though the girl is ingenuous and trusting, don't trick yourself into thinking that she is weak and harmless. As stated earlier she has trained for a long time and still trains on a daily basis, so she's not someone you or anybody else would want to mess with. Though Kara trusts other people very easily and sees the best in people, she is stubborn and that means once you've broken her trust then it's really difficult to gain back.

Kara is the type of person who enjoys talking and being around others, but can only do it for a small amount of time. She is naturally an extremely social person, but because of her special ears she gets headaches when she spends too much time around people. The original reason why Kara got close to the other dragons in the first place was because she had to actually try to read their minds to hear even a peep.

Not being instantly drowned in the thoughts of others made Kara relax around the other dragons, and allowed her to be more open about herself. The king who the other dragons served had quiet thoughts that didn't make her head feel like it was about to split in two. Having the ability to be around people and not be in pain was absolutely amazing and baffling for her, and it made her heart leap in joy.

Day after day Kara got closer to the other dragons and the king. Every day she got to know them better and better; their likes, dislikes and more. As the days passed the strong males started having strengthened feelings for her, and the emotions were not friendship. They started to feel possessive towards her and they became more than just "overprotective." It got to the point that she wasn't allowed to set one foot outside the castle and if she was caught being somewhere she wasn't supposed to be the guards were allowed to drag her back to her room kicking and screaming.

Her existence drives people insane with love and desire, that is why she was erased from history. So that no one would have to see the disgusting side of their beloved kings, nobility and heroes. Though just because people don't know about her doesn't mean that she doesn't exist. Just like the yellow dragon, this girl hasn't aged a bit and she is still traumatized by what has happened in the past.

Now we are going to talk about the present. After all of those events have passed and she has been forgotten. Time to continue Kara's story.
