Italics + bold = some else's memories (these will be in the persons who memories it is point of view, so Kara is seeing Hak's memories how he experienced them, hence me using the word "I")
"...I'm nobody.... and I'm just passing by?" I say, though my voice is filled with uncertainty, so it sounds more like a question. Gah, no one will believe that.
"Oh, that makes sense, but really what's your name?" The oblivious Yona asks.
"What are you saying Yona? Are you an idiot; this girl is clearly lying," Hak states, annoyed. He then moves the blade of his spear closer to my throat.
"Umm.... My name is Kara.... And I live here," I state very awkwardly.
"You live here?" Hak asks with a snort.
"Yes," I say a little more confidently this time.
"Like I believe that, what do you think I have half a brain or something?" he asks disdainfully. As he says this the sharp edge of his weapon creeps towards my neck.
"I'm telling you the truth, oh and what was that whole fugitive thing about?" I ask. His eyes widen and I can finally feel the steel on my throat. Oh, this may not have been the best time to be curious... Shoot!
"How would you know something like that if you weren't a suspicious person?" Hak questions in an annoyed voice. What should I say???
"You're really loud?" I say in a soft voice.
"You have to have really good ears to be able to hear me from that far away," he states in a disbelieving tone.
I slightly tilt my head to the side and ask, "How do you know I was far away?"
"When I said that I didn't sense anybody else in the vicinity," he says as though it's the most obvious thing in the world.
"Well you're right I do have good ears," I state a little bitterly.
"I was kidding!" Hak growls loudly. "Nobody has THAT good of ears!" he continues in his irritated voice.
"Ummm..." I start not really sure what to say. Then it came to my mind. I'm an idiot should have done this sooner.... But it's been so long since I've done this, I'm not sure I can still do it.... Meh, may as well try. It's not like I can get into any more trouble then I'm currently in.
I shut my eyes and focus. I think about Hak's demeanor, his attitude, his looks, his voice; pretty much anything that I can associate with him. I feel myself entire his mind. I've do the simple version of this often, but this time I am actually going to rummage through his brain. I want to see what type of person he is; if I can trust him and the others with him with this secret of mine.
I'm standing there and this clumsy blond guy walks in, almost tripping and falling on his face in the process. Yona walks in after him. "So are you ready to go find the four dragons?" the man asks.
"God no, why in the world am I supposed to believe you when you say that these mysterious "dragons" can help us on our journey?!" I ask in annoyance. I supposed to trust some stranger about something like this? For all we know he could be sending us on a wild goose chase.
"Because I'm a seer, I'm supposed to guide the King, so why would I deceive you?" The blondie asks in a tone that clearly shows that he is looking down on me.
"Fine," I grumble under my breath, I'm not happy about the way he is talking to me.
I exit his memories, I don't need to know any more, and I don't want to invade his privacy more than I already have. "Oh so you know about us!" I say happily.
Yun's eyes narrow and a crease appears between his brows, "What do you mean 'you know about us'?"
"About the dragons, of course," I state in a "No Duh" voice.
"Dragons? You mean the fours Dragons?!" Yona suddenly asks.
"Didn't I just say that?" I question.
"Okay, if YOU are a dragon, them which one are you and where are the others?" Hak asks, clearly not believing me.
"I am the purple dragon, it's a pleasure to meet you," I say as I do a refined curtsy. After I got back in my earlier position and I continue with, "Well, the white is still in his village that's for sure, as for the other..." I trail off and drug my shoulders. I have a rough idea about where each of them are, but why give out all of that information with nothing in return.
"Ha, jokes on your there are only four dragons: the yellow, green, blue, and white ones." Hak says in an I-got-you-now voice.
"No there are more dragons than that, those are just the ones that decided to come down from their realms to be with the king," I state and continue with "I even have proof."
"And what is this so-called 'proof'," Hak asks. I send them a small smile and daintily lift up the hair covering my ears.
"This," I say calmly as I lift up my hair to show my "unique" ears.
