So......I have been abducted. By space aliens. I cannot corroborate any other persons story about being abducted, I can only tell you about my own experience, and a can ensure you it is true. It seems as though my experience has been unique in that Ive never read of another persons abduction being like mine.
I am willing to be completely honest with everything, and I will explain how everything went down. I am 33 now, and have continuously been abducted for the last 20 years.
When I was 13, I was more or less your average kid. Enjoyed video games, movies, etc. It was 1994, so we were in the awkward not quite full 90s but over the 80s so we more or less all just looked awkward, and loved Nirvana. Point being, I had no special abilities, wasn't a loner or the most popular, and because of this, to this day, I have no idea how I was initially abducted. Or chosen by the aliens.
I have a cousin named Larry, who is essentially your typical douchbag. He was about 4 years older than me, and lived down the street. When he was bored, he would be my best friend. As soon as he was around anyone else, however, hed torture me. He more or less refused to acknowledge my existence once he started driving, and, I was cool with that. I didnt consider him close by any means, so him leaving me alone was cool by me.
One day, in the late summer, right before I started my freshman year of high school, I was walking down the street with an inner tube to go the river. I was meeting some friends in a popular place for teens to go and be alone in our town; it was down this sort of back road, passed this junkyard, and off that road about a quarter mile up this dirt path. We had a rope swing, and there was a concrete ledge that old guys with their Vietnam veteran hats on would fish off of sometimes. Older teens would sometimes light bonfires and drink later in the evening, 13 year olds, like me at that age would float on tubes, try and act like the older kids when they weren't around, and generally pretend we were more badass than we really were. The good ole days.
On this day, I walked passed my cousins house, and he was getting into his car, he looked at me, I looked at him, I did the head nod to say whats up, and he did nothing. I kept walking, expecting him to drive passed shortly and ignore me yet again.
Oddly enough, I see something creeping next to me out of my peripheral, and I turn to see him pulling up.
You going to the river?
(I instinctively wanted to make a smart ass comment considering I had a towel around my neck and an inner tube)
I decided not to and just said yeah.
Want a ride?
Without thinking I jumped into the car, and as he departed down the road, I thought what the hell is going on here. Why is this guy being nice, something bad is about to happen.
As he drove he was talking to me like a normal person.
School starts next week, you taking the bus?
Yes. (again, fought the urge to say something smart ass like)
How bout I drive you.
Yeah....sounds good (what the fuck). I became almost giddy, trying not to smile, are we turning over a new leaf?
He dropped me off where the road ended I was going to walk the rest of the way up the trail. The interaction with my cousin was weird, he was being nice to me. I wish this was the most unexpected thing to happen to me on that day.
I started walking and thinking to myself how it was weird how my cousin acted so normal, when I heard a huge clash. It startled me.
I ran back to the road, which had an immediate curve on it, so I had to run up it a bit further to see down the road far enough.
As I turned the corner, I saw a little smoke, and the further I went, I saw my cousins car wrapped around a tow truck right at the entrance to the junk yard.
As I ran up, my cousin got out, and was fine. The old guy in the tow truck physically was fine, but he got out moaning loudly, talking gibberish.
It took everything in my power not to laugh.
(I again wanted to make a smart ass comment to my cousin but I stopped)
He spoke to the guy for a few minutes and just yelled over to me: Go get my dad.
I was like you want me to walk? Hes like no, run, hurry up.
I think he was nervous, or his adrenaline wore off and he was starting to have a meltdown, his car was totaled. I figured id do what I could for the guy. My first thought when I took off running was...whelp I guess I will be taking the bus to school after all.
Driving to the river in a car took you one way, but you could walk the opposite way on the path, and walk across the beams of an old broken bridge to get right near our street. I took off that direction up the path, and stopped by where my friends were waiting for me near the swing. I told them what happened, and they all were going to check it out when I left up the path in the opposite way to go get my uncle.
How I wonder to this day if there had been cell phones back then, would I really have gone through the things that I went through in the past 20 years.
I really have no idea, and regardless I cant change what happened to me, and today I am finally ready to talk about it. When I rounded a corner on the dirt path just before getting to the old bridge, a tree root seemingly jumped out of the ground and grabbed my ankle. I tripped, and all I saw was dirt quickly approaching my face and then darkness.
When I awoke...things would never be the same for me ever again....
I need to take a break and organize my thoughts about the things that will follow. Bare with me as this stuff is hard for me to talk about. You will all understand soon enough.
