The farmers daughter

Practice

I was walking along the fence line of the football field and I saw kane he was number 4 and I was just watching them run threw plays until kane kicked the ball and it went out of the field so I ran to go catch it and sure enough kane was at the fence and I have him the ball then he gave me a kiss and he went back to practicing and I could hear some of the guys talking to him patting him on the back and smiling and pointing at me and I just smiled and some not all of the boys came up to me and one asked me out on a date and I looked at kane and he had a sad look upon his face so I said " sorry but I already have plans with someone else" then they all started swearing under there breaths and I just stood there laughing and kane came up to me and said "What did you tell them.."
"Well I said that I had other plans with someone but I didn't say a name"
"Well can I be that someone?"
"Kane are you asking me out on a date.."
"Yeah I guess so what about a movie they are doing a throwback and I saw that they are showing  Flicka!"
"Ok I will go with you and where what time?"
"Don't worry where just pick you up at eight.."
"Ok see you then can I stay here and watch you guys play?"
"Sure"
"Brown get back on the field and stop talking to your girlfriend!!!"
Everyone starting laughing and I smiled and went to go sit on the bleachers and when it was over they had a group huddle and couch wanted everyone even me so I knew everything the plays,places,time,etc
It was nice to know and the couch pulled me aside and said "since you seem so into brown how about you become a manager of the team which means you are in charge when I'm gone ok"
"Ok I would love to"
"Ok"
And I walked off because it was getting late and I had to get home before sun down
At home
"Hey Katie what took you so long?"
"Nothing just lost track of time walking around"
I walked out of the door to go to the barn to go feed the animals and I saddled up two of my horses and rode to kanes house and I knocked on the door and a woman answered the door and I asked "is kane home?"
"Yes he is in the barn...."
And so I walked up to the barn and yelled "KANE BROWN!!"
he thought it was his mom so he came running out and just looked at me and smiled and said "Horses??"
"Do you want to go for a ride with me...?"
"Sure"
He got up on the horse and so did I and we rode to the pond took a little swim and rode back and I asked  "can spend the night because my dad Is a drunkin asshole?.."
"Sure"........
