Twenty million.

Twenty million dollars.

Twenty million dollars, just sitting in this bank, ripe for the taking. Easy job. Just get in, get out, kill the others, become a millionaire. Easy.

One problem, I do not like sharing.

And this is how I died.

The car ride to the bank was bearable, though not enough to ease my anxiety. I mean, I've done this enough times before, rob a place at gunpoint, take everything of value, kill my teammates, and keep the loot for myself. I may have grown close to this team, but if I am going to be honest, money matters more to me than any relationship.

We entered the bank silently, keeping our poker faces' to fool the crowd. Gren and C4, the demolitions experts of my team, stayed by the door, ready to lock it once the guns were pulled.

I was the first to act; I pulled a small automatic rifle from my coat, the rest of my team doing the same.

"The game is simple. Play fair, you all live. Cheat, you all die." You could hear a pin drop for how silent the crowd had become. "Open the vault. Hand over all of it. Then we leave. If any of us see any kind of devices, you die. Simple as that. Play the game fairly." A small smirk graced my lips when I heard the sound of Kaze's rifle ringing through the building.

Three people dead.

"Someone didn't want to play fairly." People started slowly raising their hands in surrender as they slowly got on their stomachs, hands behind their heads.

"Good. You all know how to play." I stalked to the first teller I saw, pointing my rifle at her, making her move to the side. I hopped the stall and waited for the vault to be open.

The last thing I heard was a gunshot and  Gren's low voice, "Boss. Boss you need to get up. Walk it off. Cops are getting in. We need to leave now." Blackness was forcing its way into my vision, Gren's face fading quickly. I felt the warmth of my own blood pooling around me, briefly seen it on Gren's large hands.

"Boss, the cops are co--" Gunshots rang through the air, Gren froze then slumped forward on top of me, the life gone from his eyes.

"Good... goodbye Gren." I was able to mumble before I felt the cold grasp of death grab my heart.

The blackness wanted to win, so I let it.

I felt like my entire body had fallen asleep, that feeling of pins and needles tingling all throughout. My eyes refused to open; who was I to argue with them?

Heat. I felt heat. Everywhere. Not like a warm blanket on a cold day, but like walking outside in the middle of a Texas summer after a rain, the air thick and heavy. It almost hurt to breathe the air was so thick.

Wait. Where am I? Weren't we on a job?

Wait.

That job went wrong...?

I should be dead.

Where the fuck am I?

I struggled to open my eyes, or at least move my hand but I felt too heavy.

There is no way this is Heaven.

"Maybe she will never wake up. Too bad. What a waste." A strange feminine voice reached my ears, sounding muffled, but it was the most beautiful sound I had ever heard.

"Be quiet. Give her time. You took longer than her by at least a tenfold." Now a masculine voice replied to the woman. I could hear their breathing nearby. Everything was muffled by the air.

"Di-... Did you give her the--"

A different woman's voice was interrupted by the first woman's voice. "Gluttony, please, darling. Shut. Up."

The heavy feeling started getting worse, I tried to fight it, to hear more of the stranger's conversation but I was too weak for any fight, whether it be physical or mental.

For the second time in who knows how long, the darkness took over.

"Child, awaken. It is time."

This voice, was a deep voice, deep enough to be beautiful.

"Maybe she's defective." The new woman commented; I heard a small smack nearby. "Shush. I don't want her to be defective. She's cute. I could probably change that innocence to something entirely different." The first woman from before spoke softly, with a trace of something else hidden, presumably so others would not hear her.

The air was nowhere near as heavy as it was before; I could no longer feel the tingling or numbness. I could breathe freely.

I opened my eyes slowly, taking in my surroundings. Three people surround me as I am laying in what appears to be a run-down hospital. The man closest to me, probably the most beautiful man I had ever seen, was sitting next to my cot, eyeing me like a father watches their child when they catch a cold.

"Wh-where am I? Who are you?" I ask softly, turning my gaze from the man beside me to the people sitting on the edge of a bed a few meters away. One is a beautiful woman, eyes blue as skies, dark straight hair, and beautiful ivory skin. She winked at me suggestively when she noticed I was looking at her. The man next to her was equally beautiful, his hair dark as night, his eyes, god his eyes were beautiful, a warm violet color, his skin tan as if he worked during the summers. He kept his eyes on the woman sitting next to him as if she was a wild animal that was released from her cage.

"I know you may have a lot of questions, but they will be  answered in due time, I promise you that much." The man sitting next to my cot drew my attention back to him. "For now all I can do is welcome you."

"Welcome to Hell! As the seventh human to ever arrive here, you are now an official member of the seven deadly sins. I am Lucifer Morningstar, also known as Satan, the Devil, the Betrayer, blah...blah...blah. None of those names mean anything anymore, but you lot... You lot will bring meaning to my name once again."
