It had been a few weeks after the incident that occurred between Lauren and her mom. Lauren was accepting to her moms rules, except she had still was continuing to see Seth even after her mom had previously told her it had to end. Lauren wouldn’t let her mom get in-between their relationship and besides her mom can’t monitor who she talks to in school.

Lauren and the Jauregui family were expecting the arrival of their exchange student who still remained clueless; they were due to pick her up next week from the airport. Lauren had a lot of scenarios played out in her head of what the person looked like and what they would get up to together, if they were funny and the biggest thing on her mind; if it was a boy or a girl.

The weeks became days then hours then minutes, until it was the day. Camila the girl who still remained unknown to the Jauregui family was going to say goodbye to her family who she wouldn’t see  for a few months, she had never been away from her family before so this was a huge deal to her as she was travelling alone. Alone. Camila had always feared flying ever since she was a little girl, she would always be found watching Air plane crash investigation even though it made her worries about flying more unbearable.

Camila had a petite face, her soft gentle eyes were a clouded hazel and her thin slick eyebrows were shaped into a perfect arch that followed the slight curve of her eye. Her lips were thin and a light shade of red, she had long brown hair that fell to her hips. The features of Camila’s face were a reflection of herself; she wore light makeup to cover up blemishes that she found daunting on her skin. Camila would often wear anything she could get her hands on but as of now she would constantly be seen wearing a bow in her hair followed by a favorite sweatshirt or dress that she owned always being accompanied by a pair of black or tan small heels. Camila wasn’t subjected to wear heels everywhere she went, she just chose to it made her feel more comfortable with her height.

Camila was born and raised in Cuba surrounded by her family her whole life. Camila wasn’t an only child she had a little sister Sofia very much younger than Laurens sister Taylor. Camila lived with her parents Alejandro and Sinuhe and her little sister Sofia. The reason behind why Camila signed up to the Exchange student programme was because she never had been outside Cuba before and her family were considering migrating to Miami, Florida exactly where her Host was situated.

Sinuhe, Alejandro, Sofia and Camila were all stood huddled together outside the gate saying their final goodbyes to eatchother.

“Take care, Mija” Sinuhe spoke wiping away the liquid that was now forming at her eyes

“I love you” Camila spoke a ball forming in her throat her own tears forming at her eyes also

The three of them stood there kissing and hugging for as long as they could, before Camila turned on her heels and waved goodbye to her family.

Lauren was in the process of getting ready before she heard her phone go off, she stopped in her tracks and dropped the makeup brush that was once in her hand, picking up her phone.

“Hello” She answered.

“Hey” Seth replied.

What would Seth need at this time it was an early Saturday morning and normally a day they weren’t able to see eatchother on as Lauren was still grounded.

As usual it was nothing important, and they talked about pointless subjects that Seth would constantly bring up in their everyday life. Seth was always focused on sports and only sports; he was preoccupied with every sports activity there was he knew how to talk about sports in detail and usually would ignore anything or everything Lauren wanted to speak about, communication between them too was just Seth she could never get a word in things were starting to get rocky between the two of them as they were limited to doing things due to Laurens punishment, the only thing he seemed to be interested in about Lauren was getting into her pants which he still hadn’t been able to achieve.

Lauren continued to finish her makeup which she previously had been doing before she got interrupted. Lauren had been waiting for this day for awhile, even though she had not been ecstatic about it at the start she was finally going to be able to see who it was staying with her and her family.

I may my way off the thirty minute journey I had on the plane, it wasn’t too long but I was still anxious that the plane would go down in that time, thankfully it didn’t. It was different I was entering a place I had never been too and I had no clue where I was to go to get to where I needed too. After I collected my bagging from the baggage claim area I followed the signs around the airport hoping that it would take me to where I needed to be, I didn’t have an idea what the family I was staying with looked like I would just hope they would be holding a sign with my name on it so I could find them easily thankfully that was not the case. I found my way to where a group of people were waiting and I was approached by a woman and her family, two girls a guy and her husband. The eldest girl with the piercing green eyes spoke to me first.

“Hi, I’m Lauren you will be staying with my family and i.” she spoke.

I could feel those green eyes burn into mine and I gulped a ball forming just like it had done before when I was saying goodbye to my family.

“Camila” I said my accent rolling off the tip of my tongue.
