Lake was so out raged she ran, her heart beating a mile a minute, she ran so far so fast until her body ached. She felt as though her legs were going to collapse beneath her. Her body shaking, she slowed down and started to walk caching her breath. Lake noticed she was near a huge cluster of tall plants with dark stems and arms shooting up from the base with green clusters on the top. There was a couple of these around town not as many as this though. Some people say that they are called "trees" but most don't care about trees they usually chop them down in a crushing hart beat. She must had run far to see this many together. Curiosity getting best of her, Lake stepped in to the dappled light of the under the tall plants. She realized It was a gorgeous day to be outside, she didn't think anybody in her town would notice though. All the people she knew were never interested in nature or how the world works, never curious or asking questions. She never knew why no one saw the things she did. When she last told someone, she got taken to the doctor and was prescribed pills of some sort. "they all think I'm crazy" she laughed, saying to no one.

She walked further in to the forest the trees had grown closer together making the place look a little bit darker. Lake started to hear the wind howl through the odd shaped trees. It seemed as though the wind was urging her to come closer, yes, she could hear it now "come closer" the ominous voice told her. She listened, running now, she seemed to be getting closer to, something, something whatever it was, it was calling her. She came to a halting stop; disappointed "what is this!" she questioned.

Upon her was a tall structure made from dull gray rocks it looked as if it stretched for miles. The wall was cracked and vines covered parts of the odd-looking wall. The dark mysterious green vines had small but sharp spikes that were light in color and yet seemed familiar for some odd reason. Lake dared to touch the rough surface of the chipped dull rock, it felt cold when she stroked it. The rocks that made up the wall smelt like the earth, still stroking the wall she found she found a hole. It was almost a perfect circle and it was about the size of a dollar coin. The wind was softly whispering now saying things she couldn't make out. She carefully peeked through the strange wall on the other she saw something she had never seen before. It was another type of plant but not like the trees no, this, this was beautiful. It was unlike any other plant she had ever seen. It was small plant with a long dark greenish-brown color stem, it had many spiky rounded leaves that came to a point. At the top of the plant was a deep red bulb that looked twisted on the inside. It was the most perplexing plant she had ever seen, lake was familiar with just green and brown plants like trees, bushes and sometimes she saw the occasional mushroom but this was amazing.

She took another look through the hole to see if she could spot any other red plants. She didn't find any but she did notice something odd about the trees there. The trees on the other side were white unlike the trees on her side. The trees on her side had brown bark but on this side, they were a white color with grayish stripes. The bark even looked like it was peeling in some places, under it was a wonderful orange and tan color. She wanted to see more of the beautifully strange place with its array of odd plants and vivid vermillion green grass and dark bushes. She took her eye away from the mysterious circular hole in the cracked and fragmented rock. She looked as though she would cry, she felt her eyes getting puffy. why was she trapped on this side of the wall? The blinding yellow sun was beginning to slide down towered earth from its heavenly perch in the sky. Lake gazed up at it wondering if she should go back home, her mom was probably worried about her. She sadly decided to say goodbye to the world she had found, but she told herself she would be back.

She slowly found the way back through the giant green trees to her small home, remembering the path she took so she could come back. She walked in to the silent town, guess it was later than she thought. Lake walked down the dirt road soaking in the brilliant rays of moon light. She lived in a small town with a couple of stores and a decent school, her town was a trifle compared to kingdom not too far from her town. The kingdom had robots, new technology, medicines, and plenty of food. Unlike her town and many others who were suffering, and too busy trying to find money than seeing anything else. She arrived at her rickety old house, covered with dirt and grime, the fight with her mom earlier (the reason she ran away) still lingered in her mind like the smell of smoke. She swallowed the lump in her throat, walking in to the musty old house she saw her mother laying on a light blue torn apart couch. She was a thin long pale woman with short dark brown hair and light green eyes. Her mom's pale complication was even wighter compared to Lakes tanned skin, and her hair was longer and lighter she also had blue eyes with gold flecks. Her mom was asleep with the small tv on, Lake was relieved she didn't have to talk with her after their fight and she surely wouldn't under believe anything she saw today.

Lake took a can of peaches from the brown sideways cupboard, she grabbed a knife from the table and started cutting in to the top of the can. After she finished her meal she went to her room and quickly fell asleep on her cold hard bed. The next morning, she walked out into the kitchen to find her mom watching tv, as always, Lake quickly headed for the door.

"where are you going?" her mom asked with a sharp tone.

"on a walk" she said briskly not making eye contact with her mother.

"where?"

"in town of course, where else?"

"fine; but be back for super this time"

And without a word Lake flew through the wooden door and headed out she had lied to her mom about staying in town, but she would be back for supper.

Time and time again Lake would go back to the mysterious wall coming in and out of the now familiar forest. Each day she saw something new and exciting on the other side. she saw plenty more colored bulbs almost like the first one she saw with their brilliant colors. She saw other animals she wasn't familiar with too. Her favorite was a small bug like thing with very big wing but not feathers like birds have. They were a bright blue and green with a powder of some sort dusted on them. The bug had two antennas at the top of its head and seemed to love plants as it fluttered around them.

Lake had returned to the wall for seeming like the millionth time but this day seemed different, it was dark, gloomy, and this time the wind wasn't calling her name. instead she heard a faint buzzing sound it seemed to be getting louder and louder, coming toward her! She stood still with crushing fear she saw in the distance was one of the kingdoms drones they call eyeroids. It was a huge eye with a hypnotizing dark blue iris and a dilating pupal the thing had some kind of meddle on the top and a mecinizem to help it float. How did the kingdom find her she was so stupid for letting her Gard down? Standing there she felt the only thing she could do was clime over the wall the one thing she wanted to do for so long since she found it. She started claiming with her bare hands the dull rock her hand was on was starting to crumble. Her hand slipped and she almost lost her grip panting she held on for dear life. Almost to the top the eyeroid had finally spotted her it was coming toward her fast she was at the top now she looked back one last time. Now looking down at the green grass she jumped, lake was finally home.
