"This is it.", Perrie announces once they're standing outside of her house. She sees Jade examining the small house, and she moves her gaze to the ground, blushing due to the embarrassment of having such a lame excuse for a house.

"What's that noise?" Perrie furrows her brow as she lifts her head, seeing Jade gazing at the house with her jaw clenched. The blonde listens closely for a bit, trying to figure out what Jade was talking about...and then she hears it.

The sound of glass shattering.

She new exactly what that meant, and she absolutely dreaded the times when this would happen. "It's nothing. Thanks for helping me h-" Before Perrie can make her way up the steps to the front door, she feels a warm hand wrap around her wrist and pull her back. Her eyes widen when she feels the same hand move up to cup her cheek, looking up to find Jade with a sincere face. The (fake) intimate touches Jake gave her didn't make her feel half as good as Jade's did. Their touches were the same, she craving more and more from both of them, but Jade's made butterflies erupt in her stomach...Jake's didn't.

"Don't lie to me, Perrie. If there's something going on in that house, you can tell me." Jade was looking into her eyes the entire time, making the blonde's knees go weak from how caring the girl was.

"My brother...h-he got drunk again...", she answers shamefully, averting her gaze to somewhere other than Jade's beautiful brown eyes that had her locked in a daze.

"And what happens when your brother get's drunk?" Just from Perrie's shudder alone, Jade could tell that it wasn't good.

"N-nothing. He m-may hit me a f-few times, but that's it."

Jade glances at the house, then focuses her attention back on Perrie, grabbing the girl's hand in hers. "There's no way you're going into that house." Before the blonde can question what she just said, Jade is already tugging her along down the sidewalk, not wanting Perrie to step foot in that house while her brother was intoxicated.

"W-wait, then where are we going?", Perrie asks, stumbling along behind the girl in front of her.

"My house. You'll be safer."

"You sure this is okay?", Perrie asks as Jade opens the door to her house, trying to lead the blonde inside, but the girl is basically planted on the front patio.

"Yes, I'm sure. Now come on." With one last tug, Jade is able to get Perrie to cross the threshold and enter her house.

"Jade?! Is that you!?" Perrie assumes the voice that rings throughout the house belongs to Jade's mother.

"Yeah ma, it's me!", Jade calls back as she and Perrie kick off their shoes. Perrie lightly smiles to herself at the fact that Jade still hasn't let go of her hand. "I brought a friend over."

"Jadey, you know what I said about Leigh-oh...who's this?" Perrie sees a shorter woman walk into their view, and from the resemblance to Jade, the blonde infers that the woman is indeed Jade's mom.

"She's a new friend, Perrie Edwards."

"Oh, alright. Well, have fun." With that, the older woman walked away to leave the two girls standing in the living room. One question was now swirling in Perrie's mind: what did Jade's mom have against Leigh-Anne?

Perrie followed the brunette as she lead her up the stairs towards her bedroom, the blonde immediately becoming jealous of how spacious and roomy the girl's room was. She stifled a giggle when the first thing Jade did was plop down onto her bed, her eyes fluttering shut.

"You can do whatever you want, I don't care.", Jade mutters, getting comfy on her bed and getting ready for a nap.

'If you don't care so much, why do you care about my safety in my house?', Perrie thinks to herself, scowling as she tries to figure out the mystery that Jade was. This girl had little, if any, motivation in life, she sleeping all the time and not caring about anything...but in the past couple days, she's shown the blonde a few instances where that side of her got replaced by a different Jade. Jade went from sleeping, to saving her from drowning. She went from relaxing, to scaring off a group of muscular boys from the football team. She went from not caring, to making sure Perrie getting hurt by her brother was the last thing that would ever happen. Perrie noticed that Jade's personality changes whenever she's in danger or not safe...and she wonders why Jade finds her so special.
