Adelaide
I've been here for a few months now. The serum is pretty much finished, I primarily worked on the healing aspect of the serum. Making sure the candidate doesn't turn weird colors and loose his face is kinda important. Wouldn't want someone to look like the Red Skull, that would terrify children and people. Including me...
We're going to start recruiting now, I'm going to be going with Dr. Erskine whenever he recruits. His requirements are difficult to find, but I can think of someone who fits the bill. I just hope Steve is still trying to join the army, and that we'll be in the New York area when he tries again. Abraham mostly wants me to come with to see if I can help him find someone 'good'.
"Adelaide, are you ready to go?" Dr. Erskine asks me.
"Just about." I say. We are heading out to start recruiting.
"Hurry up Lady, the guards and escort are here!" Howard shouts at me from wherever he is.
"I'm hurrying!" I yell back. He can be so impatient sometimes, I hope he doesn't pass that on to his children. It would really be odd if he had kids... I just can't see him as the 'father' type. Much less settling down. I finished my letter to Steve and addressed it, put it into my bag for when I could send it. "There done!" I said triumphantly. "Ok, I'm ready to go."
I dragged my two bags and my trunk into the hallway where a soldier took them. "Well it took you long enough." Howard said.
I glared at him. "Says the guy who has three bags full of junk, and two only half full of junk. Besides you started packing a week ago. I didn't have that luxury Howie." I said irritably. I had stayed up till around 0300 ( 3:00 a.m) packing. Then I had to wake up at 0600 to get ready and I forgot to write my letter to Steve till the last minute.
Needless to say, I'm tired and REALLY cranky. Don't piss me off....

After I sent my letter to Steve; which barely fit in the envelope, I ran into an old friend.
Peggy Carter.
"Peggy?" I said.
She smiled. "Hello Adelaide, I'm your escort until you get to New York."
I ran and hugged her, dropping my bag on Howard's foot in the process. "I missed you so much!" I told her.
She laughed. "Well we'll catch up on the train. It's been much to long."
We sat in our carriage laughing, crying, smiling, glaring (at Howard for flirting with Peggy) and generally having a wonderful time. We caught up on pretty much everything, that is after we kicked Howard out of our compartment.
Peggy was just telling me of a french fellow who had caught her eye when the train stopped suddenly. We stood up quickly as Howard, Colonel Philips and Abraham tried to run into our compartment. Key word tried they couldn't all fit normally, but with the guards and three escorts it was pretty much impossible.
There was a lot of yelling and arguing, accusing so and so of who's foot they stepped on when Peggy had finally had enough. "Will you shut it?!" She yelled angrily. That's when we heard a commotion outside. I went to check it out but Howard pulled me back.
Peggy and the colonel approached the glass window, Peggy handing me a small gun along the way. They looked outside and Peggy gasped, I ran over as they tried to pull me back. Outside the train on a lone wall was something red. Dr. Erskine came forward as well and gasped loudly.
"What is it?" I asked looking at it, it looked like some kind of red skull with tentacles. There was also some writing on the walls I hadn't noticed before.
Before I could read Dr. Erskine spoke. "It is the sign for Hydra, for Johann Schmidt." He said. I looked at him alarmed then I read the message and froze, it read:
CUT OFF ONE HEAD AND TWO MORE SHALL TAKE IT'S PLACE!!!!!!!
BEWARE DR.ABRAHAM ERSKINE!
BEWARE DR. ADELAIDE BETHANY BARNES!
HAIL HYDRA!!!
Well one things for sure, I'm going to be working on my fighting skills a lot more than I used to...

I stamped a B6 on a soldiers report, he was strong but not suited for the program. I've been doing this work for two months now, I have only given one man A1 and he got hit by a car a week later... Needless to say I haven't been having much luck.
I was excited though, we're really close to New York. I haven't told Steve and Bucky that I'm coming to New York, I want to surprise them. That may be difficult though, ever since the Hydra incident I have not been left alone.
I swear I don't need a babysitter. I'm almost twenty one, I can handle myself pretty well. After the threats started, and yes I say threats. Letters started coming though. Bombs, poison, assassins, well deadly things. But ever since I've worked very diligently at my combat skills.
I was told by Colonel Philips that I'm better than most soldiers, and as good an agent. I am very proud of my work. My aim could use some work.
But I prefer using knives and such, easier to carry around. Easily hidden in clothing. ;)
"Adelaide, are you ready to go?" Dr. Erskine asked me. I nodded. "Good, Mr. Stark is getting impatient. Something about his expo needing attending. So we are heading to New York now instead of next month." Abraham said.
I jumped up smiling. "When do we leave?"
