[Early A/N — Mark's graduation photos r the best imma sit in the corner n cry omg my baby has grown so fast i can't *sobs]

Jeno hesitated the moment he reached Renjun’s door. The sound of laughter could be heard from the bottom of the staircases, so Jeno was afraid that he’d become the outcast.

Maybe he shouldn’t have come in the first place.

“Renjun, you have a guest!” his mom shouted from the kitchen.

The laughter stopped, and two seconds later, Huang Renjun opened the door. His reddish-brown hair was messier than usual, and he’s wearing a maroon t-shirt with shorts.

“Jeno!” Renjun sounded and seemed surprised, “W-what brings you here?”

“Ah, I, uh… Mark had a date and I was alone… My friends wouldn’t answer my text so…”

Renjun just stared at him, as if encouraging him to speak more.

Jeno finally snapped out of his nervousness, “I see you’re busy… Sorry to bother you, I’ll see you tomorrow.”

“Jeno, wait—”

But the black-haired guy already jogged downstairs and ran outside. He didn’t stop until he reached Donghyuck’s place, which was a few blocks away from Renjun’s house. He knocked on the door, just to be told by Donghyuck’s mom that he was out with some guy.

He went to Chenle’s house, but he was out with Jisung and his parents to a diner. So Jeno sat on a park bench near Chenle’s.

Life sucks.

“Jeno-ah?”

Jeno turned around to find someone he knew very well, and he sighed in relief.

“Johnny-hyung, what brought you here?”

The tall man with black button up shirt pointed out a direction, “I was looking for Mark, and I found nobody was at home.”

“Ah, I went to the laundry and Mark went out for a date with God knows who,” Jeno chuckled.

“Mark didn’t tell you about his…”

“Boyfriend? Nah,” Jeno shook his head, “But I know that he’s around my age.”

“You have no clue about who the boy is?”

“No,” Jeno frowned, “Do you know Mark-hyung’s boyfriend?”

“I’ve seen him once,” Johnny nodded.

“Do they seem… like they like each other?”

“You mean, like, in love?” Johnny asked. Jeno gulped but nodded.

“I think so. I’ve never seen Mark like that, so committed into a relationship,” Johnny smiled, “Don’t worry. He’s fine.”

Jeno just smiled back and fidgeted with the hem of his jacket.

“Have you had your dinner?” Johnny asked, all of a sudden.

“I made some food earlier,” Jeno assured him.

“Then what about some coffee?” Johnny offered, “Or you can order hot cocoa. I’ll pay. You shouldn’t be left alone in the house and you shouldn’t be outside here alone in such late hours.”

Jeno couldn’t resist.
