The travel to the market was uneventful. There weren't many zombies around, considering they usually pass through in a large herd once or twice a year, and it was only for a week or less.

The market was abandoned by anything that walked. Other than the odd rodent, but they were scarce now a days.

I was luck the market had a fresh shipment of items before things went to Hell. Some of it was raided before and during, but I was able to find a place to hoard what I could, so then I just have to make the trip.

I looked through the assorted pile of food I gathered in a secret room, looking and thinking back to the storage I had at the house. I didn't really need much, but, then again, I'm not just getting things for a single person and a dog anymore.

I grabbed half a basket of nonperishables and went to the smaller pile of medications that had yet to go bad and grabbed two bottles of Advil that were still good.

I got one last look with a quick nod, deciding I had everything I needed for now. I made my way out of the building altogether. There were a few lurkers in the market, but were taken care of easily.

As I stepped out into the sunny day (for once), I looked around. There wasn't much activity... that I could see.

I heard a commotion to my right, leading away from the House.

Against my better judgement, I stupidly (or luckily, depending how you're looking at it) put my basket down in a safe spot, and ran towards the noise. I was hearing screaming that didn't sound like someone was being eaten.

At the top of the hill that was obscuring my vision earlier, I saw over the other side a fairly large herd (larger than what I found the six in), and three people running towards me. They were still a fair distance away, but I could tell they were scared.

After a millisecond debate within my head, I decided to help.

After all, I thought. I helped out other people already. What's another three?

I grabbed my dagger off my waistband and ran towards the living.

I met them half way and I started re-killing the zombies without taking heed of the people.

As I said, the herd was larger, but not by much. Maybe five of six more at the most. What made it more difficult was that fact that I was facing them alone. But, being able to swiftly avoid getting bit, I finally was able to kill all of them successfully.

I sighed, trying to catch my breath, and sipped the blood off of my knife before sticking it in my waistband again.

I looked tiredly up the hill, where the three humans stopped.

Being able to get a closer look at them, they were easier to recognize.

Two guys, one girl.

Both of the guys were in there twenties and had dark hair and eyes. One guy had a five-o'clock shadow and his hair was buzzed cut. The other guys hair seemed to look like it used to be fluffy, but was matted down with sweat and blood.

The girl was mid-twenties with brown hair pulled into a pony tail. Her eyes were different colours though. One was brown and the other was red.

It wasn't hard to tell this was more Youtubers.

Seananners, Chilled Chaos, and KrismPro, to be exact.
