Chapter 1

"Oh my God, I can't believe she said that!"

I sighed and pinched the bridge of my nose. "Jesus jiminy Christ balls," I muttered.

"You're cursing abilities never ceases to amaze me," Camel said.

"How can I not curse? These plastic mother fuckers act like the world revolves around their lives! They have got to be the most dense people on the planet," I snapped.

"Hey, Kit!"

I stood up to face the girl running toward me. "What's up?"

Pipi has the brightest smile on her face. "I just got a really cool new horror game! Do you think you can come over tonight and play it?"

I turned to Camel. "Are you against it, or..?"

"Unless I need you to Lawyer Up, then you can go. Be sure to update the stories, though." She waved a dismissive hand.

"Uh, sure," I answered. "I can come over at four... does that work?"

"Sure! Hey, guys!" She turned and called out to the gaggle of girls. "Meet Kit!"

"Uh, I don't know..." I gave a nervous chuckle.

"Hey, Kit!" A girl with bright green hair smiled at me. "I'm Midori. We were just talking about you two - you're the new transfer students, right?"

"Yeah," I said coldly. What did they say? "Kate also came with us, but she has a different lunch period." Damnit, don't over share. The less they know, the less they can pick on you.

"Great! Hey, have you thought about joining a club yet?" Midori asked.

"No, but if there's a debate club I'm definitely going," I answered.

"I don't think there's one, but you could start your own," a girl with purple tornado pigtails said.

"Cool," I said. "Anyway, I have to get back-"

"Nonsense!" Pipi laughed. "We still have plenty of time."

"I just thought-"

"So who's your crush?"

The question had come from Midori. I was caught off guard. "I... uh..."

"Come on, there are plenty of hot people in the school," A girl with a giant blond ponytail said.

Damn, she's cute.

"I actually like Kiro," she giggled.

"He's that guy in the book club, right?"

Damn, she's straight.

"Demisexual," I blurted.

"What?"

"It means I don't like someone until I've formed a strong bond with them." I explained.

The girls gave me quizzical looks and returned back to their previous conversation. Obviously, I had been dismissed.

Sitting back down on the bench with Camel, she sighed. "Don't worry, Kit - there are plenty of other people to associate with. For instance, Yuno can be quite nice when you're not on her bad side."

"Every girl in here is taken or straight, and every guy has like, five murderous girls running after his heels," I complain.

"Ah, so it's about finding someone to love."

"APPARENTLY. OR MAYBE IT'S THE FACT THAT EVERYONE IS JUST A BITCH."

Camel laughed. "Hey, do you think-" she stopped suddenly.

"What, is Javon here?" I looked around, trying to find him.

"Who the hell is he?!" She pointed to a tall-ish boy walking among the crowd. He had straight black hair and tired eyes. It seemed he was searching for someone, scanning the crowd and pushing past people.

"Don't you think he looks kind of like Ayano, but with boy hair?" I asked.

"OH MY GOD!"

I fell off the bench in surprise. "JESUS, WOMAN. WHAT?!"

"Yan-kun!"

"Ya-who?"

She glared at me. "Stop making internet jokes."

"I wasn't-"

"Yan-kun. He's supposed to be Ayano's genderbent persona," Camel explained.

"What."

"All right, for slightly ignorant people reading this-"

"What?"

"And for you, Kit, since you don't know all the rules of the game-" she continued.

"What game?!"

"Rule 63: all characters in Yandere Simulator have an opposite sex counterpart. That would be Yandere-Kun for Ayano," she finished.

"What?! Game, rules - what are you talking about?!" I yelled.
