Drac's POV

It had been two weeks since my brainwashing. I don't think it quite worked as well as they were hoping, but as long as I could pretend, they wouldn't kill me. I was now just another Draculoid, working for BLind, but the brainwashing had been effective enough that I could not for the life of me remember who I was. I was a male human, and that's all I could remember.

What I knew of my current life was almost as scarce. I knew I was expendable, I knew that for certain. How I had gotten here, that's anyone's guess. But right now I had a mission. I was supposed to guard this captive, and I knew that if anything happened to said captive, it would be bad for me. What had they called this man? A Killjoy? Yeah, that was it.

I found myself staring at the man through my mask. He was really attractive. Wow, that was a weird thing to say. We aren't allowed to date anyone, especially not same-gender someones, or we would be found "different" and exterminated. He was handsome, though. Bright red hair, hazel eyes with a gaze so piercing, you would think he could kill you.

"What are you looking at?" he asked, knowing I would not answer, because we have been taught not to talk.

Then I did something that caught us both off guard. I shrugged.

"Are you....are you undercover?" he whispered.

I shook my head.

"So, you're the one and only Drac with personality then?"

I nodded.

"That must be hard. Are you physically able to speak?"

I nodded again.

"So why don't you?"

I made a gesture with my finger across my throat to tell him they would kill me.

"So they would kill you?"

More nodding.

"You don't mind me talking to you, do you?"

I shook my head and gave him a thumbs up. I actually really enjoyed his company. It was so different.

"Okay, I'll keep talking then. Do you like it here?"

I shook my head.

"Then why do you stay?"

I knew no good way to say that I didn't know where to go otherwise, so i shrugged again.

"Would you ever consider leaving?" I might.

I shrugged.

"Well, if you untie me, then I'll take you with me."

I shook my head.

"Why not?" he was clearly trying to guilt me into it now.

Finger across the throat again.

"Give me your ray gun. I can protect you."

I shook my head.

"Do you not trust me?"

I shook my head. Doesn't he understand I'm not capable of emotions?

Just then, another guard came to take my place, so I could go eat and sleep.

Party Poison's POV

That Drac was something. Given enough time, I bet I could convince him to help me escape back to my friends. It would just take time. Valuable time.
