A/N: This is not my story. All rights goes to the author ...I however converted it.

"So ...I guess that's just how it goes?" He said, his voice cracking and in the verge of tears.

"Yeah... I... I'm really sorry" she answers, slightly bowing her head from knowing her guilt. "I know how you feel, but... but I'm not worthy of your tears" she said seeing a tear fall down from his face.

"Huh ...ha-ha-ha", he forces a smile, "Ofcourse, you're not worth it. And you'll never understand how I feel right now... 'cause... you're used to make people fall for you by just breathing air into their lungs."

"That's not true... even I... even I was once.."

Her name was Lauren Jauregui, 19 years old, an architecture student consistently in the Honor's list, has a wonderful voice, plays the guitar and has the most beautiful emerald eyes that could pierce through anyone's soul - in short, every guy's dream girl. This girl is known for changing boyfriends and jumping from a relationship to another almost every week. And now her latest break-up was with Tyler, 20, a guy whom he went out with for a couple weeks after exchanging flirty flaunts in a cafe.

"...even I... even I was once..."

Those words kept ringing on Tyler's head for three days already. He clearly recalled Lauren saying them when they broke up. At first, he said he shouldn't mind, he could just leave the pain behind and move on, but he was so intrigued when he remembered tears flowing her beautiful green eyes while saying the words ...

"...even I... even I was once..."

And now, he's determined to uncover this seemingly vulnerable part of her. Bitter him. But no...

On the other hand, Lauren sat there, still can't believe she once again opened up the wounds she thought time had healed years ago.

"Fool yourself" she murmured, scolding herself. "Love will always be just abstract... or rather cynical"

She turned around, only to see a familiar face displaying an obviously plastic smile, staring at her. She liked this guy. Liked. She liked his innocent smiles, his sweet gaze and his appalling (in a positive way) personality. Liked - in a way that's quite bizarre.

"Hey there" she broke the silence, "are you plotting something to get back at me just now?"

"H-h-huh?" He stammered. "No! I was just passing by and uhmmm... I was wondering who'd stay alone in a place like this when it's class hours" he reasoned, blushing slightly, thinking she might have the wrong idea that he wasn't over her. Well, that's slightly true. Or maybe.

She noticed he was thinking and that made her smile. Spell an extremely sweet and alluring smile.

Tyler felt his blood rise from his body turning his face red and his heart beating in his throat. Escape. He needed to escape this awkward situation.

"Uhmm... I... uh... I gotta go!" He left without waiting for her reply.

Lauren felt sorry for him. Tyler was great. He only needed to realize she'd never be the one he needs.

Three weeks passed and Tyler still kept thinking of Lauren's words before leaving.

"...even I... even I was once..."

Could she have failed in love before? But it seemed impossible. Seriously? She could get any guy she wanted. He forced these thoughts out of his mind but failed to. He'll burst any moment. Thats it. He had to ask. And, to start with, maybe collect some facts....

He started reading her online journal. She was such a writer. By the end of about twenty minutes he got bits of interesting entries like...

"I love this person without us having an actual relationship..."

"I know that person will only think of me as "the bestfriend's older sister" who loved to send chocolates every Valentines Day..."

"I've been treasuring someone in my heart for three years now..."

"I know this can't be, I just can't help it."

"This is my most painful birthday experience, I saw that person with someone else. I can't fight this feeling anymore. Should I tell that person? I guess, I have to..."

These entries were uploaded three years ago. Right after those entries are a bunch of inspirational stories that he found irrelevant. He can't figure it out fully but he managed to sort some pieces of this puzzle together. Was she really dumped when she confessed to that person? It seems really impossible. It's life though. Possibilities. No one can entirely travel to all its realm. Fine. Last option. Just ask her.

He looked for her and found her underneath that same old oak tree where she sat weeks ago.

He slowly walked up to her, contemplating whether he should ask or run for the hills.

"Ahemm.." he clears his throat. "Lauren, I..uh..I" he felt like backing off, to late now, he thought. "You see, I happened to open some of your blogs and there's something I really wanna know. I just hope you don't think I'm bitter... if I ask who "that person", who I suppose, hurt you a lot, you were talking about."

"You really wanna know?" She asked.

"Well, you may not answer if you don't want to but... uh... yeah... uhmmm... I just need to understand or probably, you know, get why you can't take anyone seriously other than him. Oh and uh... maybe to get over this foolishness and to save others from breaking their hearts."

"In that case" she stood to face him. Inside she was actually happy to finally have someone willing to share her inner burden. "I'll tell you."

After a pause she continued, "I was 16 then. I already had 11 relationships, mostly casual that time but I just couldn't understand why I could't find my happily ever after. Then, I met my sister's bestfriend. And, I felt something new, weird in a sense, but I knew it was real... love you may say."

"Yeah, I figured that out" he said. "And in your blog, there was this part where you were about to confess, right? So, how did it go?"

"Huh-ha-ha-ha..." she laughed. "I did not confess."

"Why?" He was now thinking that maybe that person was also her sister's boyfriend.

"Cause I know it's wrong. We can never be. And, I already learned that time that a kind of feeling like that was better handled by loving from afar. Everyone would oppose it anyway."

He was now feeling that her conclusion was right. Still, he was shocked at her cowardice.

"How come you gave up so quickly without even trying? And, what do you care about everyone else?" There was a mark of being pissed in his voice.

"Hey chill, it's cool now Ty. I know where you're coming from. Don't worry, because of this, I promise never to toy with anyone's feelings anymore... or ever again. Thank you for that and for hearing me out" she said trying to make him divert his attention.

"No!" He furiously blurted out. "You should have told him atleast!"

"Don't be so mad. I already said it was cool. Ugh..." she sighed, with a tone of surrender on her voice.

"I realized I don't need to have that person for me to love. You actually helped me realize that. I know now that I just need the air I breathe and my limitless imagination. I really don't need to have HER!"

"No... uh..." it took him three seconds to understand, "her?"

A moment of silence followed.

She smiled for a yes. And he finally understood... her side of the story.

A/N soooo that was it! I know it was short and just a one shot but i just have to publish this ..i love the reveal at the end lol. Anyway i converted the main character to be Lauren Jauregui because i thought it fits the description perfectly.

Oh and i know ya'll might be triggered by the name Tyler with the nickname Ty but hey! I just want to imagine that Lern dumped his ass because she can't get over Camila(lol let's imagine that the girl Lern loved was Camila)

Oh and last thing Tyler is who you want it to be ..imagine him however you want. You do you. Im done.✌✌ Ok.bye 🚶🚶
