A Whole Other Life

 

This is a darker Twilight fic that I just thought up. What if Edward and Bella made love the night before her party. After a week, they disappeared and within a few days, Bella realizes she's pregnant and doesn't know what to do. She can't tell Charlie, or stay because it would endanger him. The same with her mother and Phil. So she cleans out her college fund, takes what little she can, and runs away, ending up in Volterra and knocking on the castle of where the Volturi lived. She didn't know much about them, just hearsay from what she heard from the Cullen's, but after not being able to get a hold of them or their friends in Alaska, what else was she do to.

 

 

 

And this is where my story really begins...in the throne room of the Volturi castle.

 

 

 

“Look,” Caius said, looking Bella up and down like she was lunch. “A harmless human in our midst.”

 

 

 

Aro put up his hand, signaling silence. Bella immediately knew that he was the so-called king of the Volturi castle. “What brings you here, my dear?”

 

 

 

Bella felt tears swell in her eyes, but refused to let them fall. “The Cullen's.”

 

 

 

At that, all three, including Marcus, seemed intrigued. “Did they send you here for something?” Marcus asked, in a very stoic manner.

 

 

 

“No,” Bella replied, wiping her eyes. “They don't know I came here. They left me, and I'm not sure where to find them. All the phones are cut off, as well as the emails. Edward just left me in the woods to die, like some animal.” Now she was cry, just ever so softly. Aro walked up to her and took her hand, trying to get a read on her, He couldn’t. “Very odd that I can't see you. You could be a great asset here, if your choice is to be changed.”

 

 

 

“It is,” Bella said, looking up into Aro's bright red eyes. “But that will have to wait. At least a month or so...I'm not real sure.”

 

 

 

All looked confused until Bella took off her jacket, revealing a large bump that made her look seven months pregnant instead of just one. And that's what she told them. “Edward and I had sex the night before my 18th Birthday, which they had a party for me the next day and Jasper about took me out when I got a paper cut...but I don't blame him. Anyways, the Cullen's disappeared and I only saw Edward once after that. And that was two weeks ago. So I'm not even a month pregnant,” she said as she held her bump. “And I the baby's killing me. It wants blood, but I don't know what to do.” And it was true. The bump was truly the only thing she had going for her, With everything else, she looked emaciated and sickly. She needed blood, and she needed it now, and she didn't care how she got it. She just had to have it.

 

 

 

“Well, you're teeth won't be sharp enough yet to bite into human flesh,” Aro said, then called Caius over. “Have Jane and Alec come, and bring a human. Someone will have to bit her for Bella to get the blood she needs.” He whispered the entire thing, but it seemed as if her baby's vampire skills were rubbing off on her. She felt like she could hear everything.

 

 

 

Soon, Alec and Jane, surprised by the turn of events, brought a woman in, Bianca, their supposed secretary. Alec bit her, then carried her to Bella, who was sitting in one of the throne seats. She greedily drink all she could, draining the poor woman dry. She felt bad, but her baby needed it, and that's all there was to it. But the blood tasted so good to her, now, that she wanted more. They could tell, and brought in another woman, which Bella again drained, feeling so much better, She licked her lips, savoring the taste as the entire guard looked at her, smiles on their faces.

 

 

 

“I think you'll fit in just fine, Bella,” Aro said with a grin upon his face. “I certainly do.”
