“And this will be your room,” Jane said as she helped Bella into a large room that looked more like a 5-star hotel, one with a bedroom, sitting area, and even a kitchen. “I...don't think I'll be needing that,” Bella said, disgust on her features as she looked at the kitchen. The thought of food now disgusted her, and she couldn't dream of ever eating again, as long as she had her blood.

“No,” Jane said, snickering, “I suppose you won't.” Jane led Bella to the restroom. “You can shower, but then you need some rest, and we'll have plenty of blood for you and your little one, later.”

Jane turned to leave before Bella cut her off, “Our little one.”

Jane turned back to Bella. “Excuse me?”

“Our little one,” Bella said, rubbing her bump. “After all, if you hadn't taken me in like this, we both surely would've died.

Jane smiled appropriately. “Okay. Our little one.” And with that, she left.

Bella showered and then napped, but woke up with a terrible burning in her throat. She sat up so quickly, she nearly fainted. Within no time, Jane and Alec were in her room, helping her. “If you needed blood, all you had to do was yell,” Alec joked with her.

Bella smiled. “I guess so. My hearing's been better too, since...” she trailed off, pointing at her stomach and rubbing it. The burning in the throat was too much to take, so Alec brought in a young man this time, but humans she knew nothing of didn't seem to matter. Before Alec bit him, Bella saw the pulse beating from his neck and sunk her own teeth into him, drinking until there was nothing left. She licked her lips, looking up at Alec and Jane. “What? Did I do something wrong?”

“N-no, that's not it at all,” Alec began. “But you bit a human. Your teeth shouldn't be able to do that until you've changed.”

“Ah, dear brother,” Aro's voice was heard as he stepped into the room. “She already is changing. By the time that child is born, Bella will automatically become a vampire...and one of the most powerful there will ever be?”

“How so?” Bella asked, her voice raspy with the burning still present.
