My phone started vibrating and I rolled my eyes at the thought of some crazy follower calling me. I glanced at my phone screen and saw flashing symbols saying 'Crazy Follower #26'. I rolled my eyes again and swiped the screen from right to left, meaning I was hanging up. I heard a small clicking sound and the vibration stopped.

From the corner of my eye I could see my pink door opening up just a crack. I turned my head and hurled my pillow across my room to the door. The door widened revealing my little 7 year old sister. She dashed down the stairs and into the main lounge room. I couldn't be bothered chasing her. Instead I got up and closed my door. She better not come back, or she will have her head stuck in a pillow. I giggled at the thought.

I checked the time on my phone. 9:00. Thank the gods it is Saturday. I probably would have died if I woke up this late on a school day. I rubbed my eyes and stretched my arms. I sat up and twisted and turned until I could move my body around properly. I flung my legs over the side of my bed and stood up.

I walked over to my dresser and chose my outfit for the day. A cute green skirt with a white singlet top. I slipped on my green flats to match my skirt, and threw on a beaded green necklace. Then I grabbed my brush and started my easy routine of entangling knots and straightening my hair. I then curled the ends and checked myself out in my large, oval shaped, full body mirror. Not bad.

I walked down the stairs and turned into the kitchen. I breathed in the heavenly smell of bacon and eggs. I slipped on to the chair and faced the table. My father came around and gave me exactly three pieces of bacon and one slice of toast. He danced to the counter and started whistling a very annoying tune. I rolled my eyes and ate my breakfast.

Once I finished my meal, I stood up and kissed my mother and father goodbye. As I walked out the front  door, I noticed a girl walking on the other side of the street. I continued walking to school, but I glanced at her every once in a while. As we rounded the corner to enter the school gates, my friends bounced up to me and I slid my bag off my shoulders and handed it to them.

"Ew, look at that girl! Her glasses are so...so," Ashley started, with a thoughtful expression on her face. "So geeky." Nora finished her sentence. I looked at the girl they were reffering to and I realised it was 'The girl from across the street'. She seemed to have heard Nora's comment and turned her face away. She ran into the girls bathroom and I laughed.

"What a baby!" I said with a chuckle still in my voice. I turned around and flicked my hair off my shoulder. As Ashley, Nora and I walked down the hallway, the boys practically drooled over us. One boy shouted, "I love you Melissa! You are an angel!" and I just rolledf my eyes. I've heard way more soppier comments than that.

As we reached our first class, I slipped into the classroom and sat in my seat. I always got here early so I could apply a fresh amount of make-up to enhance my already beautiful face. Ashley and Nora came and sat next to me and did the same. The bell went, signaling the start of another boring, normal, school day.

Why couldn't it be summer?.
