"Man we can't keep meeting like this."
"What? What happened to me? Oh. Wait you're here?"
Looking at myself I realized that I was talking to my future self again. The older version of myself looked down at me.
"You got your ass blown up man. Lucky you, Naomi and I pulled you out. We're on our way to a safe place for us."
Confused I looked around and saw that I was strapped down to a bed in the helicopter. Only 15 of us were in it. Naomi was in the cockpit directing everyone.
"Did we save more than just these few people."
I glared at the roof and laid my head back on the pillow.
"Yes, the pilot was able to call 3 more helicopters to the location. We evacuated all the survivors. But Loki, there's something you need to know."
He said this pulling his sleeve up on his shirt exposing a somewhat realistic looking prosthetic arm.
"You didn't make it out of that explosion unscathed. I'm sorry."
He looked down and then away.
To the horrific scene I lifted up my right arm to see nothing there.
"Where. What. What happened to my arm!"
I screamed out in confusion.
Naomi's attention was brought to me by the noise. She rushed to me.
"Loki, calm down. Its going to be okay. Let me explain please."
Her voice brought me to a calm state even having the prior events still in my head.
I let her explain.
"Loki, you're lucky to be alive. If it wasn't for the future you showing up when he did, you would be dead. But when we went to pull you out of the building a peice if concrete had fallen on your arm. We would have saved it but it was already severed. When the bomb exploded, a peice of metal had completely cut your arm off."
I shot up from the bed. Looking down at the now vacant space that was once my arm.
"Thank you guys for saving me. I appreciate it more than you'll ever know. But now, I've got a vendetta. We're going to kill the director. He took my arm so now... Now we take his life"
Naomi smiled at me and hugged me.
"I'm glad you still have a fight in you, but we all need to rest first. The future you is taking us to a safe haven while we train and work up to this final battle."
I agreed with Naomi on this.
For the rest of the trip there I began my plan on how I was going to make the Director suffer. I was going to make sure his life was hell. I looked at myself in the reflection of my cracked phone screen. I had a cut across my left eye and a bruise on my chin. I wondered how I went from this shy little nobody gamer to the leader of an entire army. As much as I hated the situation that we were in, I was granted this ability for a reason. I was meant to do something better. Something spectacular. I may not know if that is going to be defeating the director but I know that I'm going to do whatever I can to make sure he doesn't get away with this.
Naomi started yelling at the future me.
"It's to confusing! Im not calling you Future Loki or Loki number 2! I'm going to call you Josh. You look like a Josh. No matter how much you look like Loki, you're now Josh."
I sat back and laughed as "Josh" agreed to this. It had almost completely been wiped from my mind before I had the chance to ask.
"So Josh. How did you exactly get here?"
At first he hesitated to speak but then gave in.
"Well if you must know, because you'll find out eventually. I kinda stole the power. You have telekinetic powers. When we first got our new powers I didn't exactly get that. I got a sheild, and time travel. Even the slightest change to this timeline can changes everything in my future."
"So you mean to tell me you have the ability to time travel? But you didn't think to save Naomi back then."
He looked down and walked away. Then he mumbled something under his breath.
   "You don't get it kid."
After that conversation I let my head rest. My body hurt really bad. Everything was pulsing with my heart beat. To my surprise we were at the safe haven. It was a large warehouse in the middle of a small town. I pushed my self up and to my feet. Naomi tried to get me back to lay down but I fought her on it.
With enough strength I stood up and got out of the helicopter. I felt off balance. Reminding my self that I no longer had two arms, I felt a sense of worthlessness. Making my way into the giant warehouse there was nothing but a smaller building inside. Josh directed me into it. It was an elevator that went down almost a mile down. Leaning against the wall, all 17 of us fit into the box. As we went lower and lower we started getting glances of main facility underground. It was massive and full of people. It was a Quad Layer bunker. On the top floor it was living quarters. The second floor was the Armory. The third floor was a bunch of laboratories. Finally on the bottom floor there was a training ground. Fully set with a changing course of obstacles and Hazzards.
I was put on the third floor and sent to the infirmary. There were scientists and doctors all over the place. They rushed me into a room and started working on my stub. Alot of the stuff looked really futuristic and advanced. After the doctors finished up cauterizing my arm they told me to sit still. One doctor brought a machine into the room where they put my non existent arm into. I felt a sharp sting and then started hearing the clinking of metal. After almost 20 minutes of sitting still they removed my arm from the machine. I looked down and saw a metallic arm.
"Can you try to move it? We need to make sure its calibrated."
I followed the doctors orders and slowly started getting the hang of it. At first it hurt and felt really weird. I could feel everything but at the same time I knew it wasn't my real arm. The doctor dismissed me and said that they're making the prosthetic skin for it.
After getting my "replacement" arm I called Naomi and told her it was time for action once more. As much as I didn't know about this place I knew the people here were ready for a really battle. Escaping the facility was one thing, but this was another. This was us going against an entire military force. Josh has all the information that we needed for the attack. The Director was at the nearby military base. He had an entire private army waiting on his word to attack and destroy anything he wanted.
Knowing this I sent people in groups of 50 down to the training room. While everyone was training I decided to start coming up with battle plans. While going over I leaned back against the wall hitting a switch. The glass wall that let us veiw the training grounds turned black making it impossible to see through. The other wall then started rising up. It revealed advanced tanks and vehicles complete with a full armoury.
"Naomi. I think we found a way to transport everyone."
She laughed.
     "Seriously. That's alot of hardware."
I hit the switch again hiding the room with the false wall.
I walked out of the room and into the training bay and announced to everyone that we would begin the main assault on the military base three days from now. For them to make sure to rest up and enjoy the last couple days of peace.
Naomi and I went back to the medical center and I stopped the Skin print for my arm. Naomi and the doctors were surprised at my action.
I just looked Naomi and then lifted my arm.
"There is no need for me to try to hide what happened. I lost my arm and as much as I wish it didn't happen, this will be my permanent reminder of what that bastard stole from me."
Naomi smiled. She walked over to me and kissed me on the cheek.
"Loki, let's get ready for this battle. We'll go over the plans again."
I nodded and we went back to our designated War Room. She decided that we'd both lead our own separate companies.
All together we had 3 companies with 10 Squads of 20.
I'd come to lead Demon Company, Naomi would lead Titan Company, and finally Josh would lead Hellbound Company. If everything went to as plan, we'd finally be free. We could finally have a somewhat normal life.
