I guess it's hard to say how excited I was. Through the roof, to Mars, to the end of the observable universe, who knows. I'd actually like to go to the observable universe one day. I know I'm already in it, yea. Let's just say that I was super excited, mk? Oh, I need to introduce myself. I'm Wyatt Hughes-Hallett, and today, I'm starting fifth grade at West Cape May Elementary School. It's a small school, but do I care? No, I have friends. One thing I've forgotten to say, is that 4th and 5th graders have multiple classes, unlike other grades or whatever. Half of my teachers could've slipped for all I care. Especially Miss Parker, who would snap at you (not a literal finger snap) if you said Mrs, instead of Miss. Yea.
Hopefully this year will be better, right? I woke up on Thursday morning, kinda dreading the day, sorta feeling great. I was feeling more dread, probably because my cat, Cloudy, was sleeping on my chest, hardly letting me breathe. Not a nice way to start the first day of fifth grade. Felt like Jupiter was weighing me down. Seriously, Cloudy's fat. Really fat. I pushed him off of my bed, and got up. I went into my wardrobe and took out a hoodie-shirt, jeans, and my Red Sox winter hat. Yep, I'm a Boston sports fan, in southern Jersey. Wish our school had a Pats or Red Sox spirit day, but no, they have Eagles/Ravens and Phillies/Orioles spirit day. Getting back on track, I trotted downstairs, Cloudy what looked like rolling down with me. I opened the cereal cabinet and pulled out the chocolate Mini Wheats box, and poured them into a bowl with milk. I started eating.
Yea, I know this has been an anti-climactic story so far, just wait.
