"Dear students! You all are most probably aware of the reason for this abrupt meeting. I would like to skip the pleasantries and get straight to the point. This year, we'll be travelling across Europe!" This caused a flare or cheers erupting throughout the hall, as this far and extravagant trip was practically unknown to the students of Redwood High. The principal held up his hand and the room hushed immediately. "Grade 11th will be departing from the nearest airport, on April 20th and will be returning on May 10th. During this 20 day trip, the students will be travelling to The Netherlands, France, Germany and Switzerland. All the forms regarding your visa applications have been filled by your parents, so no need to worry about that. I would advise you to not pack heavy baggage as it will only create unwanted complications. You will be accompanied by your level teachers, and there'll be groups of 7 students each with one teacher to escort them. I believe I've covered everything important, so this'll conclude. Everyone dismissed." And that was all it took for the excited chit chatter to resume.
"Can you believe this?! Europe! The school has really outdone itself this year." My best friend of 6 years said. And I couldn't help but agree. It really did.
"It has! I can't believe my mom didn't tell me about this sooner. You know she can't keep a secret to save her life." I replied with a slight chuckle.
"Haha yeah. I really can't wait to go home and start packing! How many days till 20th?" She asked and I considered it for a moment and snapped my fingers when I finally did the math.
"A week!" I exclaimed and she shook her head at me. I furrowed my brows and was about to ask when she answered my unasked question.
"You really weren't kidding when you said you were bad at math." She murmured and I punched her shoulder.
"Always using violence! Anyways, it's three days away Archimedes." She told me and I rolled my eyes at her sarcasm. "Anyways, let's get to class, yeah?" She asked and I nodded. We made our way towards class and were almost there when we were interrupted my the heart of the school. A.k.a Wade Noor.
Wade Noor-que dramatic sigh- was the hit of our school. He was fairly tall, going to 6'1 or something, with beautiful green-blue orbs and a perfect jawline. He was fairly muscled, not like those over-bulky guys, but just the right amount to appear not to be messed with. He had a perfect sculpted face and an extremely defined jawline, and was overall a perfect specimen. A womaniser with looks.
"What draws you here, Noor?" I asked and he rolled his eyes at my chosen words. I never called him by his first name, ever.
"Oh nothing, Red. Just wanted to check on my favourite girl." He replied and it was my turn to roll my eyes. Due to a very embarrassing incident in grade 7th, he called me Red.
"And mine." A third voice interrupted, known as Aly Blake. He was Wade's best friend from diaper days and they were as close and a tightly sewed jeans. Just like Harp and I.
"Quit the dramatics and tell me the real reason, yeah?" Harper said, directing her question towards Aly. Aly was also tall, not as much as Wade, but tall. He had brown eyes with hair the same colour and was easy on the eyes. He always teased Harper and I had a suspicion that he liked her. Just a thought.
"I really did just want to see you, but seeing as we're not welcomed here, I guess we'll make our departure." Aly replied with mock sadness and Harp and I shook our heads.
"See you later, Red!" Wade called over his shoulder.
"Or not!" I shouted back at him and tugged Harper towards our first class.
Thankfully, the remaining of our day went without any interesting encounters-not that I found Wade interesting- and soon it was time for us to go home. I always came and went with Harper as my ride, and today was no different. She met me at the exit of the school hallway and together we made our way towards her car.
