Alice stood there for a minute, trying to take in all that had happened. It had been one of her first run ins with anyone her age. No one ever really stopped by her tent. She's a gypsy. She's dirty.

She finally recollected herself, letting out a sigh as she did so, and began to walk back to the boardwalk to pack up for the night. She peeked around, having a feeling as if someone was still with her, but there was no one. Not a single soul. The board walk had closed down for the night.

That was quick..

She thought to herself, and finished packing up. She threw her backpack/purse over her shoulder and walked towards the entrance of the boardwalk, taking her own sweet time doing so.

–––

Alice jumped to the sound of her alarm and looked towards it, with a tiny gasp. She held her head and looked around, not being able to remember anything about the night before, at the board walk.

She rubbed her forehead and dragged herself out of the bed and into her kitchen, where she was to make herself a cup of coffee, as per usual. But as she stepped into the kitchen, her vision clouded with sleep as she rubbed them, the figure became clearer, and instead of screaming as she would have done, she smiled softly, feeling safe with the presence.

It was in fact, not the figure of her coffee machine, it was the figure of a familiar male. But why did he look so familiar, she could've sworn she'd never seen him ever before in her whole life.

Dwayne gave the girl a slight smile and parted his lips to talk, "Hey, how'd you sleep?"

Alice turned her head a little, "What do you mean?" Her mind was fuzzy and her vision was still clouded.

Dwayne shifted his weight, "You don't remember from last night, do you. . .?" he questioned, leaving a tiny blush to dance across her cheeks. He knew where that statement drew her mind to, seeing her part her lips to ask him.

"W-we slept together?" She questioned with an almost sour, look of confusion on her face.

Dwayne chuckled lowly a slight blush dancing on his face, "..No..? Not quite." he licked his lip slightly, which in fact caused a shade of red to form across her face, of embarrassment.

Alice narrowed her eyes at him, "So.. How do I know you.. and why're you in my kitchen.." She asked once more.

"The beach..? Last night?" He proposed the idea to her, hoping to whatever God was listening, she would remember.

Her face folded into another confused look, "I remember being there, and then some, assholes on bikes came and did something, but it wasn't you." She stated.

Dwayne shook his head, "No." he got a little closer to her, "It was me.. Remember? I saw you at your little shop.." He mumbled softly, "Then I took you to the beach and then--" He sighed deeply, her lips parted to butt in, but she didn't say anything, her memory slowly coming back. "We kissed, and- and David came by and that was the end of that.." Dwayne sounded almost sad, explaining what happened.

Alice frowned and looked towards him. "I remember now.." She spoke soft, the air a mixture between sadness and faint awkwardness.

Dwayne smiled lightly and looked at her, "So..?" he asked and kept his stare on her, "What now..?" Alice shrugged a little bit.

"I dunno.." She spoke as if she was scared, "This is all feels like a dream.." She mumbled again and rubbed her forehead. "W-what time is it?" Her vision had came back, but she didn't care to look at the clock on the stove.

Dwayne huffed softly and looked at it, "6:45?" He answered in a question.

Alice made her way to the lights and sluggishly made a pot of coffee, with a yawn. "Want some, when it's ready...?" She questioned the male, as he shook his head.

"I gotta head out soon.. I–... Just thought I'd stop by, to see how you are.."

Alice glanced up at Dwayne, an eyebrow cocked, "What.. a kiss makes you think we're a thing.." She didn't mean to make a semi-disgusted face, she did in fact enjoy the time she spent with him the night before.

"Well–.. No.. I was gonna see if you wanted to hang with me tonight. I talked everything over with my friends, and they didn't mean anything by rushing us last night, or— anything like that.." Dwayne seemed to not have a way with words, but it was cute, in Alice's eyes. She nodded a little.

"Sure.." Alice's eyes were soft, "I'd love to.." She smiled a bit, "I'm sorry to seem rude, I— I just woke up an all.."

Dwayne smirked a little bit, "It's cool.. No worries.. I did just kind of .. appear .. out of no where .. in your kitchen .." He stated rather awkwardly.

"Yeah.." The atmosphere became incredibly awkward. "So what time will you pick me up..?"

Dwayne nodded, "Yeah, oh, um how's 7?" he asked, earning a nod in reply from Alice.

"It's a date."
