Saturday
You wake up with a jolt, sitting straight up as your breathing continues to increase it's pace while your heart pounds in your ears. You can hear the obnoxious ring of a loud alarm, radiating from your phone. Of course, that's why nothing made sense; it was just a dream. It should have been expected though, nothing interesting ever happens unless it's something hardly related to you; like the Eagles winning the super-bowl. You must admit however, part of you wishes it were true. It certainly seemed more interesting down the rabbit hole than it is here. You never thought of running away; most would call you selfish to. You live in a nice neighborhood, in a nice house, with a nice family. Your mother, Jane, is a first grade teacher at the nearest elementary school while your father, Mark, owns a small home-inspection business. You just want something new in life; maybe you should get out of the house more, or try out for a sport. Anything.
Your thoughts continue to scatter as you open your dresser.
