You get yourself dressed, simple but warm clothes and a hoodie to battle the night's cold air. Grabbing your phone you head outside; it'll be a short walk. Down the street and across the bridge, maybe through the park but then back home.

As you approach the bridge you hear a quiet, distant conversation between a n unseen group of people. It mimics the same pattern and volume as the one in your dream- just a coincidence. Continuing your walk you pass through the park, stopping to search the area for anyone else. You hear footsteps approaching you but there's no one to be seen. Once again, turning around you scan the entire park: nothing. Shaking off the stalked feeling you begin walking again.

A heavy blow to your back knocks the air out of you as you hit the ground. You flip over quickly to face the attacker only to watch him fire three shots into your chest. There was no pain, only pressure; as if someone merely threw something at you. Did he miss? The man dressed in black simply watches as you fade in and out of consciousness. He lowers his arm. What was he going you do? There was a harsh burning through your stomach and worse in your chest. You didn't feel like you were in shock, and there was still no pain. Were you paralyzed? You curled your toes and moved your ankles; no, not paralyzed. Despite the lack of pain or expected white light, your consciousness finally fades completely- leaving your mind to wander a black abyss.
