BEEP, BEEP, BEEP, BEEP!!! I jumped about ten feet into the air and pulled out my gum knife. I looked around the room and my eyes narrowed when they landed on the alarm clock. BEEP, BEEP, BEEP smash.
"Ugh!" I groaned, "Stupid ass school." I put away my knife. I hate school. I lazily walked the short distance to my bathroom. I took a quick shower, jumped out, quickly dried off and stared at myself in the mirror. Damn I'm sexy. I'd do me. I shook my red hair out and left it that way. Who needs a brush when you can just shake it out? Not me.
I grabbed a pair of random pants and put them on. Then I went to my closet and grabbed a random shirt and threw it on. It may not match but who gives a damn. Whoever does can fuck off.
I grabbed my house key and walked out the door. I walked down Mission Street. Everyone seemed to scowl as I walked by. Some people nodded. I stopped in front of the all too familiar house. I lifted my hand to knock on the door and it flew open.
"Hello Mason!" Kailee said, leaping into my arms.
"Why are you in such a good mood?" I asked, dropping her. She glared up at me.
"Stupid ass boy," She mumbled, "Bye Mom! Bye Dad! I love you!" I heard them say bye and then she slammed the door, "I'm in a good mood because it's our first day back at school."
"You're the only person on this planet who's excited for the first day of school."
"Shut up Mason. You're just jealous because you almost failed last year."
"Why do I need to graduate from high school when I already have a job that pays ten times more than minimal wage?"
"Because you're not going to be the go to guy forever."
"Says you, little miss I'm going to be flat chested for the rest of my life." She glared at me.
"What the fuck did you just say!?!"
"Hush up fun size." She punched me.
"Guess what?" she said. I rolled my eyes.
"What?"
"I hate you Mason Danielles."
"Join the club." We walked silently to the school. Mission High School was one of the worst schools in the world. Everyone knew that you were either in a gang or working with the gangs. Hell, even teachers are part of gangs. How do they expect us to learn in this kind of environment? You never know when someone might pull out a RPG and go crazy. But, there are rules. All schools are neutral territory. No gang relations are tolerated. If you get in trouble for gang affiliation at school, you get sent to the leader and you're dealt with. People like Kailee, Noah, Nate and I are lucky. We work for everyone so we technically have no boss and we're technically not part of a gang so, we have a free pass to pretty much do whatever the hell we want. But, I'm sure if we piss off the wrong person they'll get their boys on us and then we'd be dealt with so we don't do anything.
Kailee and I walked to the cafeteria. Everyone sat in here at the beginning of the day. The bell doesn't ring for another half an hour. Kailee guides me to a table where Noah, Blake, and Nate are sitting. Noah ran over and gave Kailee one of their epic hugs. I shrugged and sat down with the boys.
"Girls are so stupid," I said.
"What was that?" Noah asked from behind me, "I don't think I heard you correctly."
"You know damn right what I said so don't even pretend you didn't."
"I know people Danielles. They'll kill you without a moments hesitation."
