The forest is a territory only He can claim as his. Anyone else who dares try to take it will briefly meet Toby, who will then lodge his hatchet into your skull. Toby sometimes wonders why people don't see the signs. The number of murders in or at the edge of the forest makes it so unbelievably obvious, but people are so blind and stupid. That's the cause of Toby's job, to find and slaughter anyone who dares enter His forest.

Many people try to enter His forest, drunken teens, drug addicts, adventurous souls, and even the unattended child or two. This makes it so Toby is always on the move punishing poor, ignorant souls to a death sentence. But Toby knows he could not protect the forest alone. The one that owns the forest is even the one that saved, restarted Toby's life. He gave Toby a purpose, a reason to live on, a reason not to give up. If Toby were to be slacking on his job, He will know and will remind Toby how and why he is alive.

'A man on the east side, Toby,' His voice spoke in Toby's ear, 'Find him and make sure he doesn't leave this forest alive.' Off Toby would go, running and jumping to find this man and gut him like a pig. Toby knew full well what region of the forest He considered the "east side"; Toby had been working for Him for far too long to not know. Toby rushed over to the east side and at the edge, he quieted his running as to not alert this man of his presence. No need to make a big fuss over killing this one measly meat bag.

Toby, like a wild cat, stalked the forest floor looking for this intruder until footsteps crunched leaves behind him. Toby almost chuckled, "I got you now," He thought, allowing a chuckle to escape his facemask.

"Don't get too excited, Twitchy, it's just me." This voice belonged to a certain someone Toby couldn't wrap his feelings around; on one hand, Toby hated him but on the other, Toby was addicted to him. This man was- "Masky, how many t-t-times do I have t-to te-hell you not try a-nd st-teal my jobs!" Toby turned around with a stutter and twitch of his shoulder to face one of his accomplices in murder. Masky was leaning on a tree with a cigarette trailing smoke into the sky in his fingers, "Then get your jobs done qu-quicker," Masky mocked Toby's stutter.

"Well th-this one's mine so go a-and smoke where my target isn't!" Toby was one hundred percent done with Masky's stupid job stealing ways. For the last month, Masky had been stealing Toby's missions and getting all of the credit and Toby was getting sick of it. To top it all off, however, every time Toby finally tracks down his target, Masky delivers the final blow to the victim and once looked Toby straight in the eyes when he did it.

Masky bounced off of the tree and slowly walked to Toby. Masky was so close that if Toby wanted to, he could just lean in and touch noses; Masky was a little taller than Toby so he bent down to be at eye level, too. Toby couldn't see it, but he was pretty sure Masky was smirking under his mask.

"What if I track down your target and kill them too? What are you gonna do to stop me, huh?" The smugness in his voice was so very irritating it made Toby resent his feelings towards Masky. It made Toby regret thinking about him like that.

But try as he might, Toby can't free himself from his own heart.
