After waiting for what felt like forever, we were finally let into the gym. The funny thing was that the Young Americans stood on the side while we walked in and gave us high-fives or first bumps. Everyone sat on the ground, curious what would happen next. Then the assembly show started. I just sat there watching them in awe and clapped and swayed along to the music. The way they sang and danced... something inside of me was deeply touched. The performance was rather short, but it's clear to see how draining it actually was. Even kids that didn't decide to participate in the workshop got the chance to still decide if they want to do it. It was amazing and it was crystal clear that they want to have a great time with us. As soon as the assembly show ended we had another break to wait. The kids were now deciding and getting the application forms, whilst calling their parents to either pick them up or ask for their allowance.
