Natalie's Pov
Two days. It has been two days since I've spoken with El. I haven't said hello to her, I haven't asked how her day was, I haven't even made a humming noise towards her. I haven't spoken to Harry either, but I need to so I can let him know we're driving to Pennsylvania. I haven't even told him my parents live in another state. Oh well he put his own self in this anyways. I don't know why we haven't talked, I figured he would hunt me down but I guess not. It's Wednesday now, and it's seven o'clock. I'm outside a place called 'Angry Ryan's,' it's on the outskirts of New York. If you're wondering what 'Angry Ryan's is, it's a place that has separate rooms, and in the rooms is where you can throw plates at a wall to get your anger out. If you've ever seen 'Pretty Little Liars' it's like that, but it has different things too. You can go in a different section in the building, and in those rooms are dummies that you can hit with these wooden pole things. Needless to say they have anger courses.
This will be the first time I've ever actually came here, I've heard about it but I never knew where it was. I've never had a reason to come, but now that my secret keeping friend is pissing me the hell off I guess do. To some people I probably look like I hold grudges easy, but I truly don't. If this was someone else doing this to me,then I wouldn't be upset I would be curios. It's different though this isn't just 'someone' it's 'the someone.' The one person that knows me better then I know myself, the person that has been there through every challenge I've ever faced, the person that's family treated me more like family then my own family did. This person is my best friend and I'm just not okay with it.
As soon as I get in my room, I put my purse down on the chair and tie my hair into a ponytail. I pick it up a plate, and just as I'm about to throw it I hear a loud roaring laugh from a couple doors down. That laugh, where had I heard that laugh before? It sounds so familiar, but it sends chills down my back. That laugh is the kind of laugh that makes little kids want to crawl under their bed and hide. I know this because that's exactly what I'm feeling right now. I don't know why, but something was telling me to get the hell out out. So like the big baby I am, I ran out of the room and into the cold streets of New York. I took a bus here instead of my car, I don't really know why. The bus isn't anywhere around, an something is telling me not to wait, but I have no other option.
Boom. I know exactly where I'm at, Harry's apartment is about a ten minute walk from here. I started running down the path, I thought I remembered taking with him. I could only hope I was going the right way. I knew that the man didn't even know I existed but it's late at night, I'm all alone, and it's New York City I'm just creeped out.
I finally come in sight of the apartments that had the huge bedazzled sing that read 'Sand.' I ran up to the front and opened the doors. I was panting, completely out of breath from the long run. I rode the elevator up to the very top floor. I was standing is front of Harry's door wanting to knock, but I had no guys whatsoever to do it.
Come on Natalie. What if he's not home? What if I'm bothering him? I don't have his number so I couldn't call and give him a heads up. What if he's upset to see me?
'Why would you care?' Ah yes I've missed you bitchy conscious. I see you've had a bowl of bitchy charms this morning.
I knock on the door three times, and stand while playing with my fingers behind my back. Okay so let me define what playing with my fingers is so you won't think I'm a freak, it's where I basically fidget I just prefer the word playing. That way it makes it sound like I'm not nervous, I'm just bored.
"Coming!"
That deep raspy voice sends shivers all throughout my body, and I need it stop. I'm becoming mushy for him, and I know I don't need to be.
