I was sitting in class watching the clock. I was so ready to leave at 12:00 King and I was leaving early because I had a doctor's appointment and I get to find out what I'm having. Hopefully King corporate today, he has been acting real funny ever since last month that night he came in late. He has really getting ridiculous sometimes he act like I'm his baby mama and he can't stand me or some. Like he don't want to be with me or he don't want to be around me.It's starting to make me think he is cheating or something. Sometimes he even come home late smelling like perfume and I'm dam show not stupid. If it wasn't for me wanting my child's father being in his or her life I would have been stop fucking with him. I just reached four mouths I was really starting to show now, but hey what can I expect? I eat like a pig. I started packing my books up because the bell was about to ring and plus I have go all the way across campus to my locker then, I had to meet King at the car. I jumped up at the sound of the bell ring letting us know it was time to change class. I quickly made my way to the other side of campus were I saw Lyric waiting on me by my locker. "Was sup" I said putting my books in my locker. "Nothing just wanted to wish you Good luck and text when you find out the gender." She said walking with me towards the student parking lot. King had already checked me out of school. "Awe Thanks babes " I said hugging her "I got to go but I will text everybody when I find out what it is" I said getting in the car.
"Are you ready now" King said rudely
"Yea" I said not entertaing his bullshit. The rest of the car ride was silent. I got out the car leaving King behind. I quickly signed in and took my seat waiting for me to be called on. King sat beside on texting on his phone. I was highly pissed now, I swear he can act like an ass.
"Carter" I heard a nurse call. I picked my purse up making my way to the back. I sat down on the cold hard metal table trying to get comfortable. I looked to King to see him looking around the room.
"How are you guys today? Excited to find out the sex?" She said turning the stuff on.
"Good, and yes" I said preparing myself for the cold gel.
"What about you father?" King chuckled. "Yes very"
"Great, Okay this is going to be a little col " She said applying the gel on my swollen stomach. She rubbed it around a little bit "Ah Ha!" She said writing down something on the paper. At this point I was excited and nervous.
"What is it?" I said trying to see
"Dad do you see what I see" She said smiling and pointing.
"Oh my god" King said smiling hard. I have never seen him this happy. By the smile on his face I knew it was a boy. I started smiling.
"It's a boy"
"I told you so " King said smiling
"Well now I'm going to let you guys hear the heart beat." Soon the room was filled with our baby boys heartbeat. Right then and there I knew it was real and this was a big step that we were about to take I just want him to have a better childhood then me or King. I looked over to King had no expression on his face. I couldn't believe I was hearing his heartbeat.
"Okay, I'm going to check your blood pressure, print your pictures and your free to go, I'll be right back" She said whipping of the gel off then leaving me and King alone in the room. King has been quite ever since he heard the heartbeat.
"Bae you Alright?"
"Yea I'm Good ma" He said giving me a slightly smile. He look kind of lost, or scared I wonder what's wrong. King went out to schedule my next appointment while the nurse checked my pressure and she gave me my pictures. Then told me I was good to go and I could stop taking the medicine since I was healthy. She also told me to be looking forward to some pains down there. King and I were now heading to my house . He hasn't said anything since we left the doctors. I wonder what's wrong with him.
