Her back had hit the cold air as she had walked out of the mansion.

How could someone she had loved so much had done something so horrible?

How come someone who told her he loved her act like they did not love her at all?

All these thoughts had taken place in Veronica's mind as she wondered what went wrong between her and Riverdale high's Troy Bolton, Archie Andrews.

Just as she had sat down on the stairs of the Thronhill mansion.

She let out a loud sob as the image of her now ex- boyfriend and bestfriend kissing.

It wasn't a dare, it wasn't a seven-minutes in heaven thing, it couldn't be anything like that. In fact, it was much more.

Veronica knew everything must've gone wrong when she had kissed Archie that one night at one of Cheryl Blossom's famous parties.

He had walked out. His red hair and undone tie had given it away to Veronica that the boy who broke her heart was standing right in front of her.

"Ronnie..." he started, she stood up and raised her hand to his chest.

"Save it, Archiekins. I do not want to be with a swine who cannot keep promises." She put her hand up to his chest and pushed him out of the way as she walked down the block, leaving the boy by himself in his own train of thoughts.

She had only gotten five blocks away from the house when her feet started hurting. She sat down on the curb and had taken off her heels. Her eyes then widened when headlights were heading in her path. The bright lights were coming from an old-broken down blue truck that had belonged to the one and only, Jughead Jones.

He rolled down and spoke, "Need a ride?"

Veronica had gotten up and opened the car door. She had hopped in and put her seatbelt on (safety first, kids)

"I'm sorry she hurt you." Veronica spoke as Jughead started driving

"Don't be. I didn't think she loved me anyway. I kind of thought I was a rebound after Archie had rejected her."

"And that's my fault. I should've never kissed Archie. It was the biggest mistake I've ever made. Hell, I wish I never came to Riverdale." Veronica claimed

"Hey, don't say that." Jughead said pulling over

Veronica had started crying. Jughead felt bad so he took Veronica's hands into his.

"What did I do wrong?" Veronica loudly sobbed

"Nothing. You did nothing wrong." Jughead said, gazing deeply into her eyes

Veronica looked down at his lips as he looked down at hers.

Soon, Veronica's lips had met another set of lips. They were Jughead's. She had hopped onto his lap, straddling his hips. As things became heated as he unzipped her dress and knocked his beanie off his head, she pulled away.

"I'm sorry Jughead, I can't." Was all she spoke

"I get it, it's too soon. I don't wanna be another rebound." Jughead spoke, picking up his beanie and positioning it back on his head.

"No," Veronica started as she cupped his cheek

"I don't think you are anything close to a rebound. I just don't want to start anything again, for now. I still need to cope and I think you do too." She explained to Jughead who had started the car

"I totally understand Veronica. Don't worry about it." He responded, with a smile on his face but Veronica knew the feeling was killing him on the inside.

About five minutes later, Jughead had parked in front of Veronica's penthouse.

"Goodbye Jughead. I'll see you on Monday?" Veronica asked

"Yeah. See you on Monday." Jughead smiled happily

She pecked him on the cheek as she had hopped out of the passengers seat and walked into her penthouse.

Jughead had driven off back to his trailer and though about his moment with Veronica all that night.
