Veronica walked through the doors of Riverdsle High, looking around at the lockers and classrooms that filled the hallway. It was very early, almost no one was there. All you could hear was the click of Veronica's Louboutin's down the hallway.

Until she heard some clicking towards the student lounge.

She walked in and saw the beanie-clad boy, Jughead Jones. The one who she had shared such a special moment with just three days ago.

"Veronica, hey!" He cheered as her smell and presence had taken over his attention dragging him away from his laptop.

"Jughead..." Veronica responded as she sat down next to the boy

"So, do you wanna talk about what happened?" Veronica asked nudging Jughead's arm

"I don't know, depends on what exactly you wanna talk about." He chuckled

"What happened on Friday l, after you picked me up from Cheryl's party." Veronica responded scoffing lightly

"Veronica I don't think now is the right-" Jughead started but then Kevin walked in

"Well hello early-birds!" Kevin proudly said

"Well you look like a morning person." Veronica said while arising from the sofa she was sitting on

"Yeah Kevin it seems like the early bird gets the worm." Jughead spoke with no enthusiasm

"Yeah and something else!" Kevin joked, it had took a second for both Veronica and Jughead to actually process what Kevin said

"So V, how are you doing? I heard about what that Ginger Judas did to you and I'm really sorry. I should've been at the party but-" Kevin started to speak as he sat on the couch next to Jughead however Veronica interupted him.

"Kevin it's okay, you were talking to your mom. I mean she's overseas, the chances of you videochatting or even talking to her is very, very rare. It's okay don't worry." Veronica said smiling

Just then Archie had walked into the student lounge. Jughead closed the top of his laptop and put it in the computer case, stuffing it inside his backpack.

"I think I should get going..." Jughead said as he got up but before he could leave the lounge Archie had stopped him

"Jug.." Archie looked Jughead in the eyes but Jughead just walked passed him and kept his head down.

Veronica then ran after Jughead. Archie and Kevin were both shocked, if anything Jughead and Veronica had never conversated ever since Veronica had arrived to Riverdale.

"Veronica!" Archie yelled down the hallway hoping Veronica would turn back and return to the student lounge. However, she kept following Jughead.

She didn't get very far because he had stopped right by the music room.

"Jug...Why did you leave?" She asked

"Because," he started "He hurt you Veronica, and he just walked in, with that look where you can't tell if he's nervous or happy because Jesus he's a fucking asshole who even knows if he has feelings. Veronica you don't deserve him. You deserve-" Jughead was trying to continue until he felt a soft pair of lips meet his.

"You're right Juggie, I don't deserve him. Maybe I deserve a guy much, much better. Maybe I deserve you." Ronnie smiled softly

"Veronica, I like you. In fact, I like you a little too much. But I don't know. I mean come one, Donnie Darko and Breakfast at Tiffany's would not make perfect sense to everyone."

"But it makes sense to me." Veronica said grabbing his arm and looking down

"Me too. It makes sense to me too." Jughead quickly replied

"So then why can't we have it our way? Who cares what the others have to say? If we're both happy, why should they worry about us? They're no our parents, they're not us! They can't make our decisions! All I know is that I want to be with you, that's all I know." Veronica said cupping his cheek

"What if I'm just a rebound?" Jughead looked at her with worried eyes.

"Like I said on Friday, you're not a rebound. I'm sure of it." She said using her other hand to grip his other cheek and had kissed him way more passionate than she ever could

As soon as the first bell rang they both departed.

Even though before school had started, everything had seemed perfect. Yet after school, things could've not gone so wrong...
