Chapter 1

It was a sunny and cloudy day, the birds were singing so happily, the citizens were working hard without stopping. Everything was good, fine and perfect. No one didn't think that something bad would happen, how can something bad happen in a sunny beautiful day? Even the wind was fresh and calm! Thinking such audacious thoughts were terrible and cruel. 

And if something bad happens, something that it wasn't going to happen today nor another day, they have the bravest soldiers in the kingdom. The prince was going to fight everything and everyone to keep the kingdom together and safe. Plus, their kingdom was the most powerful kingdom out of the rest kingdoms out there. They were proud to be living in Camelot. It was the greatest most powerful kingdom in the earth and their king was not exception.

So, what bad thing would happen in a sunny beautiful day? Nothing. It won't happen, the day was perfect and peaceful that nothing could ruin their day. Even a fire can't disturb the good energy the kingdom and the citizens have within themselves. They feel save and why wouldn't they? They were living in Camelot, the great kingdom.

Even magic can't come and go without the king knowing about it. The king of Camelot will trace and hunt everything and everyone who practice witchcraft and magic. And if they come, they die within hours of being in the presence of the King. They haven't know a wizard or a witch for so many centuries that they even forgot how they look like or how magic works.

And they would not care about such silly and stupid things like magic. Only evil people do such insidious acts. They weren't like that, they were peaceful citizens that only wants to work hard and please their king and prince. Since the death of the queen, the king has been gloomy and more serious and angry then before and they just wanted to behave to lift the burden of their king's shoulders.

They were so caring. They would even trace the evilness within the kingdom, if there is, of course, something like that lurking in the underground's of the kingdom, of Camelot.

Oh! So naive and innocent they are, the citizens that is. They didn't know that within the walls of Camelot there was a young warlock hiding from everyone, no one knows how powerful that young is. They do not have the slightest ideas of something so magnificent. Not even the prince, who is best friend with the most powerful sorcerer ever stepping on earth, knows about the identity of a such entity.

He did't even know that such person is in love with him. Such a honor no one gets to have. It's once in a lifetime, and this is an opportunity for Arthur if he even knew about his best friend feelings, no, scratch that. If he even knew about who he really is and how powerful he can be. Or how in love he is that he even risk his own life and well being for the sake of the prince. Just to see him happy and excited like a puppy when he gets his reward.

Yep, Merlin can't stop loving his dorky prince friend. As a servant, he has to do everything that his prince tells him to, whatever and whenever he will do it. It doesn't matter how stupid and insignificant is, he will pursue it just because his prince tells him to do.

How crazy in love he can be? He is so blind when it comes to Arthur. So blind, that he doesn't care if he gets all the credit, it doesn't matter because Arthur is the right one to be rewarded and praise. He is the prince and as one he has to do heroic things to gain the trust and the faith of those who he is going to reign. Because, he, one day, will be king and that promise won't be so far away as it seems so before.

The king has been sick and bedridden, he can't even go beyond his chambers. Gaius said that he was very sick and couldn't see his prosperity in getting better, it's more his illness was getting worse each day and he was thinking the worst, that maybe the king was at his limit and promptly he was going to die. Gaius told Uther about his diagnosis and the king wasn't surprised at all, he told Gaius to not let anyone know about his condition if not, every enemy would take advantage of his kingdom and annihilate it.
