The Reef

It all started when Harper and her eight sisters, it was a big family then, the sisters were;

Elizabeth, Amelia, Sophia, Zoe, Lilly, Abby, the youngest Charlotte, who would have been five in human years, but was 27 as a mermaid, time moves much faster down here here. And then there's Victoria the eldest, who should have known better. Anyway, it was after dark when they all crept out, where you ask? Well, Vicky had heard gossip, and when it comes to gossip shes ALL over it, but she heard of a mysterious, abandon shipwreck  near the edge of the reef, no one dared go past the reef, that was the human territory..

so after they got out of the snoozing neighborhood, and past the sleeping guards , they began there way over to the reef, of course unknowing of the dangers that lie ahead of them. "I'm hungry" wailed Charlotte "Well deal with it, if we wanna get there and back before morning we have to hurry!" whisper-shouted Victoria, Harper a 59 year old (13 years) mermaid was scared, but Zoe and Sophia (10 human year old twins) had talked her into it. when they reached the shipwreck, nobody volunteered to go inside, "I'll go" whispered Harper...
