Damon
I was delirious again.
The club was filled to the brim at this hour and around me were drunk teenagers, their sweaty bodies all jumbled on the dance floor dancing away to the music.
I stood near the bar, with shots lined up in front of me on the counter.
I downed it with a swift motion, my mind getting more foggy by the minute, little spots of light dancing at the corner of my vision. I glanced around, trying to locate Nate, but he seemed to have disappeared somewhere in the crowd.
Suddenly I felt a presence behind me and I turned around to find a random chick sitting next to me, a coy look on her face.
I turned around completely, a slow smirk taking over my features.
She was wearing a red lacy top, with a plunging neckline, and when she noticed me checking her out she leaned forward, displaying her womanly assets.
I must have been too drunk to comprehend anything because when she laid her palm on my chest and trailed a track upto my neck, I did nothing to stop her.
I leaned forward a little bit more, and would have gone for the kill had a hand not roughly yanked me behind, a figure moving in front of me to block my view.
Nate.
I chuckled lowly. Knowing Nate, he was probably subjecting the poor girl to his laser beam vision and scaring her off before he could unleash his wrath on me.
After a minute, I heard someone shuffling away, and leaned a little to my left to catch a glimpse of the chick running away without sparing either of us a glance.
Nate then turned around, his green eyes piercing even in the dim club lights.
To say he looked furious was an understatement. I swear that I could see tiny wisps of smoke drifting from his ears, his jaw clenched tight and his emerald gaze flashing dangerously.
"I go somewhere for one minute, and you decide to get fucking high again. Have you completely lost your senses?", he clenched out through his teeth.
"Yeah I kinda did lose my senses, literally", I drawled slowly.
His jaw clenched even more and I could hear his teeth grinding against each other.
After staring at me for a grand total of thirty seconds, he let out a tired sigh and ran his hand through his dark hair.
"C'mon man. This, what you've been doing for the past few months is breaking you apart. It's not worth it. She's not worth it", he said at last.
I wish I could have just agreed with him for once, because what he was saying made complete sense. But I couldn't. I wouldn't.
The past month had been a blur for me. I did drugs and drank until I was out of my mind, simply because I wanted to forget.
But she would always enter my thoughts when I was at my lowest, and remembering her and what she did was like a stab to my heart.
I thought that getting high would numb the pain, but it made me oblivious to everything but her.
The one thing I wanted to forget, her stupid face and everything about her.
Nate had been my rock during this month, but even he wouldn't understand the pain I was in.
No one ever will, because she was the first thing I saw in the morning and the last thing I remembered before falling asleep. She was always there for me, but at a time when I needed her the most, she left.
I shook my head, clearing all thoughts of her and turned to the bartender.
"Give me another drink."
