"Yoongi, I still can't believe you're going to that camp. Why didn't you tell me about this!" Yoongi's mother was not pleased.
"Mom, please. It's fine. That guy is dead." He had enough of his mother lately. Everything just kept piling up. Yoongi snatched the acceptance letter from his mother, which she had found on his desk.
"Min Yoongi, just wait until your father hears about this!" Yoongi didn't hear what she had said, though, because he was already out the front door, hopping onto his bicycle.
Before pedaling away, he pulled his MP3 player out of his large jean pockets and switched it on, listening to the music as he rode to calm his nerves. He didn't have a plan to go anywhere, but figured it would be nice to see Jimin, who was also going to be attending the training program tomorrow. He knocked on his friends door, but he wasn't home, so Yoongi just rode around town to pass the time.
He arrived at the camp the next day, with its large sign casting an eerie, dark shadow on the dirt road. He welcomed himself in, not knowing where to go. He took out the letter and read it over again, checking for any instructions on what to do when he arrived. There was nothing, so thought to himself. Right or left? In the end, he chose to go to the right, where he'd just seen a few birds land.
As he walked closer, he could hear a radio playing some pop music that he wasn't too fond of, but took it as a sign that he was going the right way.
"Jiminie?" Yoongi yelled to the crowd of approaching faces, spotting the swept back brown hair and razor sharp jawline that he could point out from anywhere.
Jimin spun around toward the source of the voice calling him through the loud music. "Is that who I think it is?" Jimin ran toward Yoongi and enveloped him in a hug. "Hey! It feels like it's been forever!"
It was true. They had just graduated only a week ago, but the boys could have sworn it was years ago.
The two rejoined the group of sweaty teenagers, who were all dancing along to a new song now.
This is going to be a long three weeks, Yoongi thought to himself.
