I am Dallas Benward, I'm 17 years old. This is my story of the day that the Osirian died......

I felt my heart in my throat as I ran, barely able to breathe. Something was following me, I knew it. Something... dangerous. The thunder boomed above my head and a bolt of lightning struck the ground next to me as I ran, my first instinct to jump to the side with a scream. I could make out the figure of an old, abandoned, decaying village through the heavy downpour of rain.

The pounding footsteps of the unknown beast suddenly disappeared as I slowed down to a walk. Fear always has and always will be my worst enemy. I have always believed in the fact that light always needs a source of energy where darkness doesn't. Therefore, darkness will always beat light. One day, the light will disappear, giving the darkness its chance to prevail.

Suddenly, the rain came to a stop. Just like that. It all fell silent. No noise, nothing but silence and fear. I'll tell you now, that silence almost beat me. It's the silence that really scares me. The blank page on which I can write my own fears. The spirits of the dead have nothing on it. The dead tried to show me hell, but all it was, was a pale imitation of the horror I can paint on the darkness in a quiet moment.

As I kept walking through the village, I found myself coming across the most run-down house of all. Everything was falling apart there. I don't know what it was, but something was drawing me to the house. No matter what the voice in my head was telling me, I had to keep going.

"Dallas! Don't go there! No one goes into a house like that! You'll regret ever going in there! That's how so many others have died!"

I didn't listen. I couldn't. I kept walking until I reached the door. As I got closer, the door swung open, almost as if a lever had been pulled. As I stepped into the house, all I could see was thick layers of dust and blood coating each of the walls and the floor. It had to be one of the most disgusting things I had ever seen.

The door swung itself shut behind me, trapping me in whatever hell this is. Suddenly, I heard a piercing scream coming from another room. It was a girl's scream. Wait... it sounded like Lena! My twin sister Lena went missing a few days ago. That was her! I ran into the other room to find this huge 7-foot beast electrocuting my sister...

"DON'T TOUCH MY SISTER!!!" I screamed at the top of my lungs causing the beast to turn around and stare me down with its dark eyes. If you could call them eyes. They were thin slits with a dark red tinge peeking through, it was like they were made of blood.

"Oh look, it's the other half of the prophecy! First I had captured the chosen one and now the Osirian has walked right into my plan!" The prophecy? What is it talking about? I could see that Lena knew what was going on but she was in too much pain to talk. "Well, Osirian, you're much too dangerous to keep alive." I felt a sharp pain in my thigh as the blade of a knife was lodged into it. It threw another knife which landed into my lower chest. Everything went black...
